I tried their one of their drink on their exclusive menu, strawberry Oreo milk tea with 30% sugar. It has a strong strawberry flavour and the Oreo was so crunchy in the bubble tea. However, it was pretty sweet for me I ordered 30% sugar. The cheese foam on top of the bubble tea makes the tea so much better! The staffs were responsive. The other drink was the brown sugar milk tea with regular sugar. It was very sweet but the milk tea was very very good.
I love the milk teas they offer. Pricing is very reasonable. They don’t have the biggest selection compared to other bubble tea shops I’ve been too but what they offer is delicious. The team there is quick and efficient. 10/10 recommend
We went to Gong Cha on Phillip St, right under Icon on a weekend late afternoon time. There was no one else in there so we got to take our time to look at the menu. My usual is the wintermelon with kanten jelly but I decided to try something different. I got the Brown Sugar Milk Foam Milk Tea with Kanten Jelly $6.90 + $0.80 and it was tasty, I could taste the brown sugar and the milk foam was really good. I got the 50% discount since it was around my birthday.
Pretty good bubble tea with fresh tasting slushes/smoothies. Relaxing atmosphere with nice staff and good music. I enjoy the strawberry latte with creme brûlée milk foam which gives it a torched sugar flavour. I recommend going earlier than later as they sometimes run out of pearl. The croffles are pretty good creme brûlée croffle pictured. There are some drinks not listed in their menu that are on the screen slideshow so pay attention there. It's a little bit odd considering their "exclusive 8" isn't even on their official menu. A little unfortunate because they gave me ice when I ordered no ice and the label on the drink also says no ice.
Pretty good bubble tea shop with a good variety of drinks with standard selection of milk and fruit teas. Enjoyed the milk tea drinks but found the fruit tea drink overly sweet even though sugar level selected was 70%, will try lower next time. Staff were friendly and efficient overall making drinks.
Love Gong cha and everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable about responding to any questions. My pictured drink is the Creme Brulee Smoothie with 30% sugar, double pudding and tapioca. So good and not really sweet. I also asked for less sugar with the brulee part of the drink.Food: 5/5
We went to Gongcha Waterloo on a weekend afternoon and it was pretty empty. It is right under the ICON apartments so it is a very convenient location. We got three drinks: the Brown Sugar Coconut Milk Tea $5.70 for a regular size and $6.20 for a Large, the Hong Kong Mango Pomelo we can’t remember the price for this one and you’re adjust the sugar level in this drink, and the last one we got is part of their Top 10 the milk foam Wintermelon Tea $5.70 for a regular size and $6.20 for a Large and we added the kanten jelly additional $0.60. We never had anything like the kanten jelly before, and we have only seen it at Gong Cha. It’s very chewy and doesn’t stick to your teeth like tapioca does. All the drinks were very good, I would suggest going with a lower percentage for the sugar level as I have found it to be quite sweet here. I usually get 50% sugar and no ice or less ice. I highly recommend the milk foam and the crème brûlée, they do it so well! If you enjoy the cold foam at Starbucks, I think the milk foam here is better because it lasts a lot longer whereas the cold foam dissipates pretty quickly. We love Gong Cha, can’t wait to come back :
I had the “softie with a twist” here but it was bland. Softie that you get at McDonald’s is much better and cheaper. Other drinks are fine too. If you choose milk shakes, you have to wait for a while for the ice to melt and stir it well otherwise, if you take a sip through the straw all you get is ice/ice water. Yi Feng is my favourite place to go to for boba Next is this. Like a back up.
Best bobba in Waterloo, hands down, not even close! Best quality ingredients, and customer service. Everyone there is so polite and helpful if you need drink recommendations. I ordered the creme brulee strawberry latte with Kanten strawberry jelly, it was amazing. You could taste each ingredient put into the drink, super well balanced drink! 10/10 Parking: Parking in the back of building
I’ve been going here since it opened and it’s horrible. Every drink is so diluted, I taste more water than tea. They give 10 tapioca and this drink costs $6.50. I can buy the same drink at now tea with 3 toppings AND a LARGE at that same price. Oh and the drink actually tastes like bubble TEA. Kitchener Gong Cha location is 100x better and the Vaughan one. Not sure why this location has such low quality.
