Excellent food, cooked fast and just right in this little neighborhood restaurant. On top of that, you get a LOT for your money as I literally had two full meals out of one portion. Add "service with a smile" and you have a winner! If you're in the mood for some Indian cuisine, I strongly recommend giving this place a chance.Food: 5/5
This neighborhood restaurant is a hidden gem for Indian cuisine, especially biryani. Biryani here is very authentic and testy. You will find all different kinds of biryani_ chicken bone in and boneless, lamb, beef, veg etc. Other than that, they also have varieties of paratha roll and grill items. The owner has a pleasant personality. No dine in, take out only_ a must try for those who look for Indian food.
No sauce , not enough salad , small frozen naan and the worst of all its not even grilled its fried with deep oil. I am very disappointed will never order kebab roll again
The best ood and amazing service! It was my first time going to this restaurant, I was extremely impressed by the humble owner and his kindness! We need more people like him in the world. We bought chicken biryani, it was the best I had ever tasted. Everyone gobbled it down and wanted more. I highly recommend this restaurant as it has the best food!
Very disappointed with the amount of biryani given ....not worth it at all .... doesn't taste good as silver spoon as well not coming back again
Best food , Best customer service.... Owner is a great personality... I know him since many years now , same great Karachi taste, affordable price, definitely going back many times in future. InshaAllah
Amazing staff and food!! I ordered the butter chicken, briyani, and boti. It was the BEST Indian food I’ve had. Would 100% recommend eating here. The staff are friendly and are a small family run restaurant, it truly comes out in their food. It’s nicely seasoned, fresh and is hot comfort foods!!
The food was absolutely delicious. The environment is very home. They have a unique menu that include chicken boti roll, & egg boti roll. These are some items that are staples of my food in Pakistan. It is good nostalgic to see these item on a menu here in canada. It very much takes me back to Pakistan
Ghareeb Nawaaz, once a childhood favourite, does not disappoint and remains consistent in their quality. I used to frequent here when I lived in this neighbourhood. Now, after moving several divisions away, I only happen here by chance. The first time I visited, after seven years, was because I was in the area and wanted to grab a bite to eat. I bought a couple paratha rolls for my family and two biryanis, thinking six people would be able to enjoy this alongside whatever was made at home. I was sorely mistaken, as my family was quick to question the whereabouts of the "rest of it." Fortunately, I was able to stop by earlier today and order to my heart's content. The owner looked at me and, even with my myself and my mother masks adorned, instantly recognized us. The customer service is almost familial, with the owner and his son ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in their hustling-bustling Danforth restaurant. Not everything is for everyone, and I often find myself wondering if I should rate a restaurant by it's best or worst dish. In this particular case, there is no "worst item." The parathas, while not as oily as their common desi-restaurant counterparts, deliver their fillings in the wondrously soft and pillow-y fashion. The rolling technique could stand to improve, but it is easy to ignore the haphazard rolling style. My favourite is the chicken boti paratha roll; with its harmonious balance between richness and flavour, it is easily the best dish at the restaurant the price is student-friendly too. The boneless chicken biryani is not for the faint of heart, it packs a tangy, spicy punch, carried by perfectly cooked rice. The veal biryani had meat that was quite literally melting in my mouth. The tender, succulent meat, accompanied by a _masala_ seasoning that delicately balances salt with acid and fat, makes this biryani the one my family finished to the last grain of rice. Their second-to-none paratha rolls and their dependable quality, makes Ghareeb Nawaz a must-try. They have outlasted many-a-restaurant in that strip-mall even a Subway, and continue to do so because they do not compromise on excellence. If I had a million stars to give, I would.
I've been eating biriyani from this restaurant for 20 years and it's always been consistent. Great veal and chicken biriyani boti chicken and all their dishes are great. The owner Munir is a very gentle person and his kids and workers are too. Even you go there and yiu forget your wallet he'll tell "pay later" Munir is an amazing person. His kids are very respectful. The best biriyani in town.
