Such a gem of a local spot!nEverything is so delicious with fresh ingredients. Also, the iced latte is easily one of the best around.nIt’s clearly a popular place, so the food can take a little while to come out—but honestly, it’s worth the wait for the quality you get.nI’ll be back on a 'slow' morning when I can just soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a long, lazy brunch. Haha!
Amazing breakfast place. We were eating at another favorite restaurant here for breakfast and we asked the server what restaurants were similar and she turned us to the French way. She suggested that the butter croissants are not to be missed.nnWe loved the salmon, eggs, Benedict and the pecan pear, blue cheese salad, and the yogurt bowl with granola and fruit compote on top. The hashbrowns were delicious. The pumpkin slice from the bakery case was incredible. We really liked the blueberry carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Not too sweet. The blueberries were so fresh and yummy contrast. Their cinnamon rolls and garlic toast and sourdough are yummy. Highly recommend. Yum!!!
This quiet little cafe tucked in the middle of Corydon avenue is one of Winnipeg’s hidden gem. They open at 7 in the morning for all those commuter heading to work and early morning meetings with clients. They a wonderful selection of fresh artisanal breads and pastries for people on the go. The French way has a chic dining area where they have good selection of hearty meals.nnIt was a date breakfast with my wife and daughter and we started off with 2 cups of coffee and a glass of water for the little one.nI ordered the tuna melt on crispy croissant and the cauliflower soup that goes with it the whole dish was delectable and the soup was nice and creamy and just hits the spot.nnSaki, my wife, picked the salmon benny with side of home fries.it was a delightful!! The salmon was perfectly cured, topped of with perfect poached eggs and hollandise sauce was just right.nnLily, our daughter, chose the crest your own omelette with mushroom , cheddar nd green onion;toasted sourdough, jam and side house salad.for 9 year old girl, she chowed down that plat with no effort. She just wanted to save some for inch later.nnWe also brought home a loaves of whole grain sourdough and a white loaf sour dough.nPrices were reasonable, food was delicious, servers are lovely!!nnWe will definitely come back.
One of my absolute favorite restaurants off Corydon! Such a gorgeous establishment with a delightful selection of baked goods and drinks. Their main menu and service never disappoint, I could spend a whole afternoon here and be totally content.
Went here with some friends, it’s a very nice cafe with a homey atmosphere. The wait staff were very polite and accommodating to all needs. I was underwhelmed by the price to value for the food. Though the food was worth while the $21 price tag for a simple black coffee and 2 slices of topped French toast makes me weary to come back.
