Recently, a couple of my coworkers and I ventured out to try Bernstein’s Deli, and we were all blown away by the experience. The entire vibe of the place was fantastic—the cozy atmosphere, the warm service, and, of course, the incredible food.nnEven though the deli was absolutely slammed, which meant the service was a little slower than we would’ve liked, it was completely forgivable given how busy they were. The staff still managed to be friendly and attentive, which we appreciated.nnI ordered the classic Reuben with a small matzah ball soup. Let me tell you—the soup was phenomenal! Warm, comforting, and bursting with flavor. The Reuben didn’t disappoint either; it was everything you’d expect from a classic deli sandwich and then some. My coworkers were equally impressed with their meals and kept raving about how good everything was.nnI’m already planning to come back with my family. My wife was a little jealous when I told her about our outing, and I don’t blame her! Bernstein’s is definitely a spot worth sharing with loved ones. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check it out—you won’t regret it.
I was the happy recipient of a Corned Beef Brisket on Rye sandwich to go. Not only was the sandwich delicious, so was the Potato Salad though I do prefer a chunkier style. The Pickle Spears were also delicious and an especially nice touch.nI was very impressed and will be checking the Deli out in person now that I've experienced the high quality of their food!nHighly Recommended!
Food was delicious! Staff were super nice and constantly refilling our glasses. Definitely coming back!
Ordered 1/2 corned beef sandwich on rye with potato salad. Sandwich good. Potato salad was mostly inedible, had to leave over half uneaten since the majority was 2 very large hunks of potato with no dressing or flavour. Told serving waitress and waitress who removed finished plates, about it, with no response from them other than a sorry comment. At payment time, I asked the till person to remove that portion of the food order from the bill. Till person checked with both waitresses, and came back and said she would remove that charge. Bill total remained the same and when I questioned it, she said that they couldn't alter the bill amount since the potato salad was part of an order and I guess, not the whole order?.nMy husband's chicken schnitzel in the Illegal Curve sandwich was tough and dry and like a reheated leftover. However he never complained about it.nnWe also had an issue earlier this year when we were overcharged on all the items we had ordered. When I mentioned this at the till, I was told that the menus had been changed and we must have been given a menu that hadn't been updated yet. Continued to charge us the increased prices, instead of the prices shown in our menu. Pretty sketchy behaviour.nnWe usually eat here several times a year, but after this we won't be going back.
Edit. Recent visit. The borsht was good. The matzah ball soup deluxe was great. Real chicken broth this time no fresh dill and just my version of a great meal. The corned beef was the best. We watched a cook cut it up! The fries were homemade and really good. The breakfast pancakes had too much baking soda and the breakfast was normal. Highly recommend the corned beef and soupsnnWent to Bernstein’s for a lunch. First time in many years. If you go I recommend the Rueben and the matzah ball deluxe soup. My kids had the pancakes which was fine. I ordered home fries and they came out as French fries. Call ahead or the wait can be quite long. the chicken soup is made right and the matzah balls taste so good my kids even loved them. The. Five stars is for the Jewish penicillin
