Wow! There’s so much to see and do. We went as a family to check this out and hit a gold mine. It’s an interesting place and big! Lots of walking so wear good shoes. There are also a good deal of steps/hills. There are ladders you can climb for an amazing view. You can see cannons and even a lighthouse. Great place to fly a kite (pretty windy) and have a picnic. Nice clean restrooms. You need a Discover pass or you can pay $10 a day I think it’s well worth the money.

Very nice historical state park. Neat learning about the history and experiencing the views they saw, including seeing boats passing by. Unfortunately no whales, maybe next time! We went on a Sunday on a free state park day, so it was busy, but not too busy to enjoy everything! We did some hiking as well

If you’re a history buff you’ll love this place. It’s really cool to see the old styled bunkers and weaponry that they used to use. Not to mention the Cliff side views are truly incredible from here. Great place to take your kids out for fun and a little history lesson!

I liked the clowns, they were tastefully creepy. Fun to be walking through the fort and run into the occasional carnival freak. One even made a balloon animal for me. I would rate higher but the anti aircraft guns were not functional. Functional anti-aircraft weapons were a big draw for me. Bummer they no longer work. All in all what a great place.

Very interesting place to visit! The old military bunkers are fun to explore, and I would highly recommend bringing a flashlight or having a phone with a built-in flashlight with you, so you can get in and really look through all of the old structures. The lighthouse is fun to go up to the top, and the views of the waters are breathtaking! This is a great place to go to with the entire family, explore the local history, and get some good exercise while doing so. Plan on wearing some good shoes to walk around in - there are so many neat things to check out! We have gone here several times, and it is honestly just as fun, each and every time.
