Fionn MacCool's Irish Pub

Great experience! Came in with my spouse after 2 years of not doing dine in anywhere, since covid, and everything went perfectly. We ordered a criss cross fry with nacho toppings and I was blown away by the flavor. The crunchiness of the fries, the heat from the peppers, the bacon, and cheese sauce were all on point. We also had 2 onion soups which were very fresh and full of flavor. We also ordered 2 drinks, both had a great amount of sweetness and booze but not overly sweet. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I'll definitely be back. Thanks Fionn MacCool's!

Amazing service. The food is what you would expect from an Irish pub, but the quality is good. My personal recommendation is the salt and pepper non breaded dry wings. They are an amazing appetizer. If you're in Guelph Fionn MacCool's is an excellent place for lunch or dinner.

Food was fantastic, but despite only a dozen or so customers, service was inattentive. Food came quick, but didn’t get a chance for refills, more plum sauce for my daughter, and they were unaware of free dessert for kids menu. Felt like I had to argue it.

Good food and a nice atmosphere. Went here on a date and it turned out to be a great place for such things. Not too bright, but not too dark, with a very cozy aesthetic. The food was great and the service even better. It was slightly loud when I was there, but it was also a Saturday night so there were lost of groups present. All in all I'd definitely come back here sometime and as a newer resident of Guelph, it's made a great first impression on me.

Service was terribly slow and food wasn’t great. Food was not the same as description in the menu. Reached out to the franchise and didn’t get a response. Never going back.

Waited 2 hours for food to arrive. Server didn't explain what was happening or offer any explanation. Had to ask 2 times for water and finally we were brought a pitcher with no glasses. The only up side is that the food that took 2 hours to prepare was on the house. Great place for drinks but do not recommend ordering food.

Used to be a regular here, staff were amazing, service was great, but it's gone downhill significantly over the past year or so. Went in on Saturday, waited 20 minutes before someone came to take our order, 40 minutes before we got our drinks, and after an hour and 15 minutes we still hadn't received our food so decided to simply pay and leave. Lo and behold, our food was ready. We took it to-go and it was cold. I suspect it had been sitting for some time. This wasn't our first poor experience here in recent months. I assume there's been a change in management or something because the culture has completely changed. Will likely not return, which is a shame, I used to love this place :

The food was fantastic. Took some time because they were short staffed, but the staff were very pleasant despite this. Live music was great! Vibe of the restaurant was good too. Would definitely return.Food: 5/5

Food was certainly not worth waiting two hours for. Salad was served 15 minutes after the food. Others were served before we were. Waitress was apologetic but it still wasn't worth the time or money spent. The drinks were good, but I won't be returning.

Table they went to seat us at was dirty so had to wait for hostess to clean. Server wasn't aware of drink specials that were advertised on the way in. Food was cold.....steak and mushroom pie portion size was small. Veggies served with it were cold. Yorkshire was rock hard. Fries were cold with other meals. Very disappointed. Would not return.
