My wife and I visited today and had a lovely time. We had the watermelon caprese salad, Korean fried chicken and the tofu curry poutine. Everything was fresh and delicious and Marissa, our waitress, was terrific. Excellent service, great information about the area and just chatting with her was very cool. We will be back again.
Great salad, great mix of watermelon, cucumber, and tomato. The pinch of peppermint is just enough to keep it interesting. Great dessert. 4 stars only cuz fries are kinda soft. There are also flies in the restaurant :
Great atmosphere. Daily chalkboard specials. Food can be hit or miss sometimes but overall worth the visit. Heated patio upstairs and down. Local, crafty beers and cider rotating taps and crafted cocktails. One of the better downtown locations.
Jasmine provided excellent service. The tea for two was delicious! Enjoyed the environment balcony today was great. Service quick. The chocolate and lemon cakes very yummy. Cant wait to return!
Absolutely excellent restaurant. I ordered the beef short ribs with pomme puree, cheese curd, brussel sprouts and red wine sauce. It was decadently delicious, the meat perfectly tender, the sauce well balanced and full or depth but the surprise hit was the brussel sprouts which were so sweet and perfectly crisp it transformed my opinion of the vegetable. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding which had the perfect velvety soft consistency and was delicious. Highly recommended.
Baker Street Station is a hidden gem in Guelph. The patio and every floor makes the restaurant so spacious and the service was impeccable. I ordered the Duck and Cornbread. Boy was I surprised when I engulfed my whole meal in seconds. The puree was the perfect pairing for the confit duck and Cornbread; however, it is no longer available. The next best thing is the braised short rib with mash potatoes and brussel sprouts. It was delicious. The Korean fried chicken was served with basmati rice, scallions and onions. I am not sure what makes the dish korean? Maybe the basmati rice? The chicken was more of a salt and pepper flavor, but at least they gave lots. We asked for hot sauce. I was surprised that they charged extra for it, but it was homemade. We also ordered the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. I enjoyed it. I would come back and try other items!
Quirky restaurant. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is nothing special unfortunately. Fish and chips is clearly frozen and cheap I understand it's extremely unrealistic to except them to have fresh fish and chips , but it's an insult to the dish and the tradition to prepare and serve it from frozen. If you can't do it right, don't serve it. The blackened chicken sandwich was fine. The chicken is cold which I think is a shame as you loose some of the intensity of the spice. But it is well spiced and cooked nicely with good charing. The menu was quite limiting. There isn't something for everyone here as you'd come to expect from a pub restaurant. The visit was pleasant but disappointing due to the frustration caused by seeing a place with great potential under deliver. I really hope they can improve things going forward.
Stopped in for a late lunch and drinks with a couple buddies. We ate in the bar area which has a comfortable pub ambience. Service staff is terrific and the music was throwback mellow 70s and 80s. Highly recommend the fish and chips, burger add the fried egg!, and lager draught beer. The French fries were cooked perfectly and all our food came quickly all together. Great casual spot, we're looking forward to going back..
Great bar in Guelph! They have an extensive list of beers on tap, with several local/regional options. The food is great, definitely not your average pub/bar food - we had a baked brie and the classic antojitos, and both were delicious. It is definitely worth trying it out!
Phenomenal food in a pub atmosphere. The menu is limited bit very well executed. You can dress up or go casual in this place and fit in no matter what. Very professional wait staff. Great selection of beers.
