Fidélice - Artisan gourmet

I purchased an asparagus quiche and some desserts. The quiche was ordinary and sadly reminded me of Bisquick. However, it was not my main purchase nor the principal reason why I drove several kilometres to get there my granddaddy would have said he walked several miles in the driving snow wearing only bread bags tied at the ankles to cover his poor swollen feet, but I digress. The desserts were the star attraction and a delightful and dare I say even whimsical step up from the quiche that shall not be named although I might have named it, who knows. More importantly, my guests enjoyed them. Recommend going for those. The desserts, I mean. And not my guests.

We bought a carrot cake yesterday June 14, in the afternoon to celebrate my sister’s birthday, guess what!!! there is a plum stone in the Carrot cake !!!!! it’s disappointing. I have been a loyal customer for more than 6 years!!!

Great for cakes or specialty items, but the coffee seems to just come out of a machine - limited sizes as well.nnI'm not sure what the shelf life is for the pastries, but the almond croissant and brioche was a bit hard.

We come here occasionally, great price for great bakery in Ottawa Gatineau area. Croissant is reasonable priced compare to those popular ones on Ottawa side asking for almost $5 for one. But it does has a hint of sweet in the croissant. Cake is light and not overly sweet.

Great little cafe in Gatineau. It clean and the staff is friendly. They have a good variety of gluten free options made with high quality ingredients. My favourite was the puff pastry with chocolate inside of it. Overall I had a good experience and will return again.
