This restaurant was probably the best restaurant I’ve tried in the entire island. We were greeted by Roberta, who’s the manager at Faro and we were served by Michael. The service was absolutely amazing and different than any other! The food and drinks were delightful. Highly recommended! Try coming during the sunset and having a good wine with a delicious handcrafted pizza and don’t worry, they will treat you like a king
First time here, so cannot give it a 5. The experience, the service and the food was all great. Our waiter was lovely with really good suggestions and also honestly. The pizzas were great and the crust was sublime. The carpaccio was different to what we have had but for sure would have it again. The fresh bread was seasoned great only would have liked it to be a bit warm. For sure worth a try, you will not be disappointed!
Ordered the Margarita pizza and Funghi. Both were AMAZING, although the fungi needed pepper to be more palatable. The atmosphere is decent, given the space. The server specifically Yoshi was amazing, well done, would definitely recommend! Food: 5/5
Amazing pizza and staff. Stayed at the hotel over a weekend and this is definitely the place to get your coffee and food in the afternoon. The pizza with pear is definitely my favorite. Try their cantaloupe with prosciutto it’s a great appetizer. The staff was great specifically Carolina, who was our server.
Pizza was sauced well and cooked well, nice crust. Staff was super nice and speedy service. It is pretty pricey for what you get, and their “freshly” baked bread seemed the opposite… cold, chewy… where is the fresh focaccia???
I’ve been told to dial down expectations since the pandemic hit, and while the pizza I had was a little soggy in the middle, the rest of it was delicious! Carpaccio and dessert was noteworthy, lovely ambiance and clean restaurant, but the highlight were the people. Great service by the staff, we were told clearly ahead of time to make reservations, the host who took our information and the server who later assisted with our meals were amazing!
This is such a beautiful place to dine in. If you’re staying at the hotel or prefer to take away, they offer that too. We opted to take away. We had the melon & parma starter, two pizzas and the chocolate dessert. They prepared everything in about 15 minutes - super fast, even though they seemed quite busy. Our favorite ended up being the parma and melon, as it was so fresh and tasty. The pizzas were delicious too and especially the ‘Whole Beast’ was so fully loaded with toppings. Definitely check them out if you’re in Oak Bay!
Massive disappointment. OBH is one our favourite places to go, beautiful setting and lovely ambiance. Faro pizzeria would have been a perfect match for this great hotel, but I predict they are not going to last long! $32 for a assorted plate of cold cuts with two pieces of cheese and bread is outrages! Pizza was good if it had more cheese on it. They called the pizza Neapolitan Pizza!! I guess They never had pizza from Napoli. Wine list just mediocre.
Fantastic meal and overall experience! Their marguerita is perfect, I spent days raving about it. The tiramisu and aperol spritz are also worth mentioning because I find it very hard to find good ones in town. The service was amazing, they were all friendly and accommodating, and we just felt welcomed and cared for. Thank you so much for a great experience :
Love Faro, their menu is small but they have perfected every item on their menu, pizza, desserts, wine and beverages, they even made a strawberry mocktail for my kids. One of my favourite spots to go with my kids to eat outside.
