Farm Table Inn

My husband and I enjoyed the Wednesday night prime rib buffet. The food was absolutely delicious! There was a great selection of salads and house made pickles followed by tender prime rib, baked potatoes, roasted beets, carrots and acorn squash. They included tasty Yorkshire pudding and a choice of regular or gluten free gravy. Yummy!!! The finale was a selection of homemade desserts which were also delicious. Our hosts were warm and provided wonderful service, ensuring we were happy with our meals. As George, the chef said, the food is prepared with love. We agree that we experienced a meal that tasted like it was made for friends rather than just customers and we will be back to enjoy their restaurant another day!

Our second visit. Easter brunch. This place is outstanding. Delicious, contemporary buffet. Yummy desserts. Located in a peaceful, west cost setting. Beautiful ambiance. Friendly, competent staff. Excellent chef. Pride in ownership. We will be back and look forward to bringing visitors.

It just isn't a name, little from farm to table and they are located on a farm. One might think your were in an upscale fine dining room in downtown Vancouver with the quality and presentation of the culinary offerings at Farm Table Inn. But in fact you are in a charming countryside bed and breakfast with a fine dining room in the stunning forests of the Cowichan Valley. Tucked under giant cedar and fir trees the cozy dining room sits where you are treated to the cooking skills of Chef George. Come with plenty of time to let your busy days fade away and be treated to relaxed pace to enjoy your meal from local sourced wines to in house butchered meat selection from local farms. I have visited for the now famous and much talked about Sunday brunches to standard evening meals to speciality seasonal sittings. Each time I am pleased with the atmosphere, the service and the exceptional food. Well worth making the 20 minute drive to escape the hustle and bustle of Duncan to escape on a food adventure.

Wow. Best brunch buffet on the Island...hands down. Perfectly prepared local and/or in house ingredients and a clearly gifted chef that takes pride in his/her product.... Wait staff are attentive and engaging as well. Peaceful setting complete with free ranging (very social!) chickens that had our kids captivated and covering their toes. Can't wait to come back!
