Merridale Cidery & Distillery

Really enjoyed our quick stop here. They have a great variety of Ciders and some cool other options, if cider isn't quite your thing and you're just along for the ride. I'd definitely recommend their copper gin.

Planned on using the cidery as our wedding venue. After our initial meeting and informing them of our budget (which they agreed to) we put a deposit of $700 down. On our second meeting they gave us a breakdown of costs which exceeded our budget quite a bit. We left the meeting to discuss things privately and decided that it was too costly. We contacted Merridale informing that them that they had exceeded our budget and believed that since it had only been a month (they had 9 months still to fill the date we had booked) and it was their fault we deserved the down payment back. They did not agree with that and since they held the money there was not much we could do. So in the end they pocketed $700 for 2 meetings.

Amazing food and obviously the cider is great too. However thet have a strange system where you order from the cash register but don't have to pay at that time and then your food and beverages are brought to you later. It doesnt work very well as with us I saw a few people chasing down their 2nd drink order or dessert. Consequently the service is average at best. Anszing food great quality but they should go to a normal table service style restaurant.

Wow, what an wonderful setting! The orchard, the building and the arromas. Friendly staff with smiles on their faces. Missed out on lunch but I will be back again.

Great selection of ciders and there is a lovely, whimsical walk around the property. Inside is cozy with big windows that let in lots of sun.
