Dragon Yuan Restaurant

So it was my first time here and the service was great but the food........ well at least what I ordered was questionable. I had ordered the chicken curry and had asked the waitress if it came with rice to which she said no its 2 dollars extra so with that I thought it's ok I don't need it the curry will be filling. I was wrong.....the curry had what I can only describe as 2 whole red peppers 1 whole onion and 4 celery sticks cut up in to squares and sticks most of which were not bite size they were blanched and had made the curry very watery. At this point I had lost my appetite having to dig through the mounds of almost whole vegetables to even get some chicken. Wonderful buffet from what I saw my friends get.

We have been a few times, always have the buffet. We really enjoy the food. Never busy is nice. I think it's time to order from the menu. Only Chinese food we will eat in the Cowichan Valley so far.

Nice clean restaurant with great wait staff. Good fresh Asian cuisine. Always a good experience.
