Noella at the front desk was extremely helpful and very polite when I called to help with my reservation. She was able to get my reservation changed to the proper date without any issues or headaches. She was very reassuring and understanding with the issue at hand. I was very impressed and grateful for the support that she gave me! Definitely looking forward to my stay knowing that I don’t have to worry about any extra stress.
We stayed here during the IIHF World Juniors tournament. From the moment we walked in the door until the morning we left, we felt welcomed. Front desk staff have mastered positive customer service with a smile. The location was ideal for events at the Canadian Tire Centre. The room was spacious, updated, and comfortable. Breakfast was included. Would definitely stay here again.
I don't enjoy calling out a hotel in this manner, but in this case, it's necessary.nI stayed for the weekend Nov 2024, with high hopes, since it's a Marriott owned property. To keep it as brief as possible, here's a breakdown of the issues:n1. The large suite room 214 is the loudest room I've ever attempted to sleep in. There is a loud buzzing and whooshing sound in the walls that occurs randomly every minute or so, all day and much of the night. Sleep was very challenging.n2. There were cockroaches, dead and alive, in the hallway by the pool which was ice cold - no heat whatsoevern3. The complimentary breakfast is the saddest affair I've ever seen. Okay, we know that the 'free' breakfast is not going to be comparable to a full restaurant. But please - no pancakes, no waffles, no hash browns, no non-pork options? Every hotel I've ever seen with breakfast included has these options.nnThe employees were friendly, hence the 4 stars for service.nHowever, Marriott-owned properties, even entry level locations such as this, should have higher standards. I strongly recommend you avoid this location.
This was my second time staying here. I stayed there for six nights. Fairfield is an excellent choice for suitable accommodation without paying an arm and a leg. This one is at an excellent location, albeit not ideal for public transportation. The rooms are spacious, and the housekeeping does a superb job.
Fantastic experience at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and provided so many recommendations and helped us figure out our evening plans. Rooms very comfy and roomy.nnOnly thing to mention is access to the hotel driveway is from one side of the roadway and not the other so uber/lyft drivers sometimes park on the opposite side and call you to walk across the road.
