As we drove in we almost turned around and drove out, The motel main building is in poor repair and almost looks shut down but we decided to try all the same , The price was good we got a room for under 100 dollars. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable, close to the highway so expect car noise. I think a lot of the motel is set aside for long term rentals, this is a good stop just for the night with no fancy stuff. The owner operator who was there was super accommodating and allowed us to bring our mountain bikes into our rooms which was nice .
Was told they where having problems getting someone out of our booked room and too call back in 15 minutes. Then was told heater not working and would have to wait till they got it fixed, so canceled reservation and went else where. Was not upset that room was not ready but the doctor they lied to us.Rooms: 2/5
Again a delay for the room to get ready to get in. We arrived at 3:20pm and we finally got the key at 4:30. The TV was not working and they couldn't fix it. OK the room was very clean that was a big plus! This was the 2nd time we stayed there and the 2nd time the room was not ready in time. Not going back there
Was traveling with a dog so I chose this place... Staff is great room was fairly clean not sparkling by any means but for a low budget motel it was OK. Haven't seen the nicest rooms to be fair couldn't get in those with a dog.... Have a feeling they are having a hard time getting staff as everyone at the moment. Overall if you're looking for a cheap place for you and a pet for a night or 2 it will do.
The motel has a cozy feeling of a family-ownded property. All the surfaces were clean, the furniture looks new. Beds were moderately firm and quite comfortable to sleep on, sheets felt and smelled fresh. Some may find that the building would benefit from a structure renovation there was some plastic and metal deterioration in the bathroom, and when we turned on the AC unit, it puffed out a small cloud of burnt dust - luckily we did not need AC that night. But overall, the experience to price ratio was quite acceptable. Have some bottled water with you - the tap one apparently has more iron and sulphur salts than we used to.
Had a wonderful stay at 7 West Motel. The beds are very comfortable, the furniture is all really nice. The AC kept the room nicely cooled. It's also very conveniently located. The staff is amazing. Alex was super friendly, helpful and kind. One of my best customer service experiences I've ever had! Highly recommend!
This Motel was exactly what you’d expected. It’s not pretty on the outside but on the inside everything is clean, the furniture is updated, and the water is hot. What you don’t see in a Google Review is the staff. They were amazing and very friendly. We were on a bike trip and passing through. This was the perfect place for a nights rest.
Very cozy and recently renovated rooms. Owners have made a nice successful attempt to modernize their rooms. Beds are all new and super cozy. Rooms have a nice smell as you check in. Manager there is very friendly and very helpful. Bring your own bottled water the water has a horrible taste but is totally safe to drink. Water pressure in the shower is rediculous they need to do something about that. The shower head is also situated much too low they should be up much higher as well. A nice shower means a lot to a lot of people when staying at a hotel. Outside of the Motel needs a new facelift getting a bit on the old side. Would recommend this place to anyone. If you are wanting a solid quiet and super comfy night sleep stop at the 7 West and you wont regret it.
Booked three rooms well in advance & was guaranteed available. Pay upon arrival. Checking in just after 1pm day of arrival & was informed that they did not have what I reserved. Only two rooms. The lady was not able to do it saying we could only have two rooms. Therefore we were forced to find another motel & was taken care of immediately at a higher cost. The woman felt bad but nothing she could do. While leaving the premises, her husband confronted us in the car & very abused us complaining about my verbal behavior with her wife who assisted me at the counter. Not at all professional. My rating , a big fat Zero.
This motel has great staff, but the physical facilities are in desperate need of renovation. The building on its own would get one star, while the staff would get five. It comes down to the willingness of the ownership to make the investment needed to turn this into something like the Northlander in Sault Ste Marie - a quality, budget friendly motel who's facilities live up to the efforts of the first rate staff. And the beds are very good.
