Fairfield County Laser Vision

My only regret is that I didn't meet with Dr. Mandava and have laser vision corrective surgery sooner! My experience with him and his team was fantastic. During the consultation Dr. Mandava made me feel very comfortable, answering all my questions and not making me feel pressured at all. He explained the difference between Lasik and PRK, and empowered me to make my own decision about which was best for me (I chose to do PRK). Although I felt confident after the consultation, I did go to another, just for comparison and the difference couldn’t have been bigger. I felt like I was at a car dealership, not a doctor’s office. The day of the surgery, Dr. Mandava and his staff explained each step of the process to me, and helped me feel very calm. Post-surgery, he was available for questions and checked in on me. My recovery was very smooth – I was pretty sensitive to light, but had little to no pain or irritation. I couldn’t believe it! Within 4 or 5 days, I was back on the road driving and working and doing all my other normal activities. If I’d have known it was this easy, and my results would be so great, I would have done this much sooner!

Dr. Mandava and all his staff are very professional and created a wonderful and easy experience. The process was smooth and they gave me the confidence I needed when making the choice of Lasik. They were informative and never pushy. Dr. Mandava was outstanding. Thank you!

I had PRK done in both eyes last week by Dr. Mandava, and I can't believe how well I can see immediately! Dr. Mandava is so kind and patient and his staff were very helpful. I was a canidate for both Lasik and PRK, but chose PRK. I am so happy with my decision. If you are looking into living a confident life without depending on glasses, don't hesitate to see Dr. Mandava. He is the smartest guy and he will answer all of your questions. I read a bunch of horror stories before the procedure, so far NONE have rang true. It was 50 seconds per eye and I did not feel anything. I have a very low pain tolerance, and even days later I experienced no pain or had to use any pain meds. As soon as the procedure was done I could see great, and now one week post I can see almost 20/20. As time progresses, my vision will get better thanks to Dr. Mandava and Fairfield County Laser Vision. If you are looking for the right doctor, Dr. Mandava is it.

I cannot say enough positive things about my Lasik surgery experience with Dr. Suresh Mandava of Greenwich Ophthalmology Associates. From the first consultation appointment to the follow up appointments, his team of courteous and knowledgeable support staff made every step run smoothly and on time. Dr. Mendava was thorough in his explanation of the procedure and very clear on what to expect following the surgery. I never felt rushed and at each appointment Dr. Mendava took the time respond to any questions I had. My results have been amazing, and I am left wondering why it took me so long to make the decision to have it done. My distance vision exceeds my expectation and it is wonderful to be able to see tv and road signs without glasses!

I was a 34 yr old near sighted male, started wearing glasses at age 27 and vision has been stable since my first visit to the optometrist. I heard about Dr. Mandava through a friend of a friend. I set up an appt thinking I would visit several Dr's before making my final decision but after my first consultation I felt very confident that I had made the right choice. Dr. Mandava saw me every time I was there and was courteous and patient with any questions I had. The staff I primarily interfaced with were Kim and Stacy. They both were very nice, and really tried to do everything they could to accommodate me. I chose the bladeless option, where they use a laser for both portions of the procedure, it was performed Feb 26th at approx 5pm, the total operation time was about 1hr only a small portion of that 20 or so mins was I actually in surgery. After the surgery there was some discomfort but as recommended I went to sleep after I got home and by midnight I was down to a 2. They next day I did my post op at 10am and I went from 20/150 to 20/15. It's only been a short while since the procedure but I've not really had dry eyes other than the first week. I also believe my vision is getting even more crisp, could be psychological, since the operation. Not having to wear glasses is great, I can go to a movie, drive, watch tv again all without my glasses. Really a blessing. Thank you Dr Mandava, Stacy and Kim, HUGErecommendation from another FAN.
