Fairfield County Allergy: Lester Mitchell R MD

Dr. Lester and his staff were professional, efficient, and friendly. From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Lester took a thorough history of my allergy symptoms. The nursing staff were friendly and kind. I now have practical tools as well as medications to deal with my allergies. Dr. Lester answered all my questions clearly and I know that he will continue to help me with any issues that come up in the future. I highly recommend this practice!

This was the worst consultation with a Dr I've ever had. I can't speak to whether this man is a competent Dr or not, but I know in our time together he was solely focused on listening to respond, not listening to understand. He interrupted me every time I opened my mouth- even while I was answering questions he asked. He spent more time sharing anecdotes about himself and his wife than listening to my medical history and then dismissed 25yrs of inflammation as acid reflux, refusing to treat the cause and rather focusing on a single symptom that started in the last few years. And then, while I was trying to advocate for myself, pleading with him to listen to me, he actually checked his watch and told me he had to move on to his next appointment. I left absolutely disgusted. Again, maybe he's a great Dr, but I would not recommend him as a Dr able to treat root causes of long-term problems and rather, solely as someone interested in treating symptoms which to me is lazy and dismissive. If I could give zero stars, I would.
