Absolutely love this park. We don't own a dog, but lots of people bring their dogs here and it looks like they have a great time! There's a very serene duck pond in the middle of the park, and lots of benches around the paths if you want to sit. I love going here near sunset in autumn, everything is golden and really beautiful. Pretty views from the more southern side, looking down over the valley below.
Amazing park for off leashing. Well cleared and well spaced for groups to walk together. Glad we used another trail head to start. Lots of trails to explore and maps to keep you from getting lost. Some nice look out points to the Fraser River. Highly recommend.
Awesome off-leash park with some on-leash areas. Would be perfect if it wasn’t because the on leash areas aren’t respected and 85% of dogs have bad recall, so it can become an issue. My dog has been in a few incidents because of this, I keep him on leash at all times because he can be reactive but there’s nothing I can do when off leash dogs come charging and after asking the owner to recall and they have zero control.
I live about 5 minutes away, for over 15 years, but never knew it was a dog off leash park until we got a puppy. Definitely one of the best off leash trails in Vancouver. A lot of pet owners are responsible for their pups, but also I feel a lot of owners don’t give enough obedience to some of the bigger dogs. Once in a while, my dog would be chased/bullied by a bigger dog, and the owner doesn’t really do anything about it. If you have a puppy, just try and watch out. Nonetheless, awesome place to bring your pet for a walk.
Lovely off leash dog park. Only Down side is it’s a really Flat easy, short walk and no view. Depends what ur looking for. Def not a workout but still Good to walk the dogs off leash! Our dogs had a cute little mother daughter reunion and were tired after 2 loops around ha ha
Not bad for what used to be the dump. Serene little pond in the middle, and lots of signage of the park map and 'you are here' signs. The paths are all interconnected. It would be nice to have a picnic area or somewhere grassy.
This is an amazing off-leash certain parts dog park/trails. It usually takes me about 30 mins to do the main loop. Plenty of folks bring their dogs here to socialize. If you're lucky, you'll get in some nice pets. Well-maintained trails and dog bowls with fresh water milk jugs refilled every day. There are some open areas meadows within the trails to play fetch. Nice little pond to stop and take a break.
No public washrooms, only trees and bushes. Friendly strangers leave jugs of water at the front. Better to bring your own water for you and your doggo. Playground: None. Restrooms: None. Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs and dog walkers. Picnic area: None.
Great park for dogs. Lots of areas to explore.
Never knew this was in my back yard, literally. So peaceful and quiet. Good for on or off leash and their humans too. The gem is the pond.
