enVie A Vegan Kitchen

I love this place. The food is truly amazing. If you want to give vegan food a shot, this is the place you want to be your first experience, although it will spoil you for all others. If you are already vegan, then you should definitely try this out. I personally think this restaurant could be for everybody. I've been there multiple times, and chose our last visit for my birthday. They can somehow make a seemingly traditional turkey dinner with stuffing, and it was the best meal I have ever tasted. All of the food here is fantastic. The mystery of it is what appeals to me the most. I have no idea how they make the cheese dishes taste like cheese or the gravy taste like gravy, but it is all YUM. The owners and staff all care about their food and the whole experience is wonderful. I don't give many 5 star ratings to restaurants but this one is more than worth it. A must try.

I lived in Halifax for 5 years and was a vegan most of the time I was there. This is easily one of the best vegan restaurants I have been to. I have been to en vie many times and I have never had a bad experience. The staff is very professional and friendly with a good knowledge of the menu. The food never disappoints. The restaurant is very creative with their ingredients and concepts and changes up the menu every now and then so you’re never bored. The restaurant is beautiful as well and has a great atmosphere and cool details. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone going through Halifax - vegan or not.

Lovely food, nicely presented and nice staff but portion sizes vary enormously from one table to the next. First visit we had tiny king Oyster scallops, not like the photos. Next visit we had small buffalo wings compared to the table next door who had huge ones (like the ones our friends had the time before). Too much variability with nothing done when we expressed dissatisfaction over the scallops.

Love the food, especially the Power and Beet salads. Hope they introduce sugar-free desserts (stevia sugar? or coconut sugar). The gf chocolate mousse was delicious, but for those of us who need to remove sugar...
