I Went here for a quick lunch with a coworker for my first time. The Service was great at Lions Head . I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken burger , I guess I should have paid attention to the word hot , I found it quite that . Too much hot, not enough honey. But honestly , the bun just didn't taste fresh as I would have liked. Just a bit dry for me. We ordered deep fried pepperoni to start , which also was very dry and tasteless. My coworker ordered the Mac & Cheese skillet which tasted great . I'd go back for some trivia and maybe try something different to eat, but I just wasn't a huge fan of the food this time around .
Had a great visit today! Staff still amazing food and service was awesome. I haven't been there in many years since I've moved away. it's so great to see the wonderful makeover they have made on the place.
Awesome and prompt service. However, the food there was fairly average at best, I’d say. I got a chance to try their Mac and Cheese, Poke bowl, chicken shawarma bowl, and haddock, and they weren’t necessarily bad by any means, but nothing to rave about either. The place did have a nice atmosphere. I hear there’s tons of activities usually going around that place. Might be worth checking out for those other amenities.
Must Try. I had the big breakfast and wife had the bacon Benny but swapped to the English hashbrowns. Overall portion sizes were massive for the $. Quite pleased about that. The scrambled eggs were the true way to cook chef style them and were absolutely on point. Hashbrowns while they were good were pretty greasy which may mean the oil needs changing. Sausage was better quality and tasty. The deep fried tomato was just ok not my thing and the beans were great. Wife enjoyed her Benny. Bigger portions. Standard house coffee was perfect. Interior/building redesign was a welcome change. Fully accessible albeit the parking at the time was not paved. Parking is a plus. Service is great but the servers may have been spread too thin while we were there as the visits were far and few. I would definitely come back.
Food was average except for wings which were terrible. They tasted like they had been frozen, thawed, then frozen again before being cooked. Very watery and gummy texture. Service was excellent Laura M.
That's my experience, yours might be different Update on my second visit, I am not sure what happened, but I am shocked with th quality of the plates today. The shawarma plate was not even close to the taste of shawarma, in addition, what turnip has to do with shawarma. Look at fish and chips. The fish was big but not really. Chips was as little as nothing. Me and my family all agreed that this would be our last visit. Location is good, not the be. Freeee parking so far is behind the building is positive. Layout and decorations are amazing, once I went in. It is another world . The place a specious and can fit large groups. Cleanliness, the restaurant well maintained Waiting time to be seated, my experience the time we were there, there were lots of tables. The time to be seated was acceptable. Time to be served, it was within expectationsThe numberer of people working there was enough to serve all orders. ServicePeoplele are welcoming , employees are knowledgeable of the menus ingredients. for the service. Waiting to get the order, from my experience, it was slightly late. However, it wasn't an issue as the restaurant is cozy and romantic. Taste: my experience is very delicious and well presented. Rich and plenty Price is $$ reasonable and affordable within the market price. If I want to compare the price to the food taste and qty, the price is $. Conclusion: I will go again for sure. And you will not regret it.
Not terrible if you need a quick bite to fill your stomach. So much better when they first opened their new location. But, the wings have been getting progressively smaller and dryer. The mozzarella sticks used to be huge and seasoned but are now small and tasteless. I went for their steak special on Wed night only to be told that they had no steak. And, I went for half price app night only to be told that they don't do that any more because they play jazz music on Sunday night. ??? Maybe now that they have established a strong customer base they feel that they can cut back on quality. Luckily, there are lots of other places to eat that are far better. It's too bad.
Had what I thought was a giant piece of Haddock today. Nope. Was a huge piece of greasy, burned battered piece of grey fleshed stinking fish that was definitely not native to Atlantic waters. Last time we order our works lunch from here.
Three of us went in Saturday just before 5pm. The new place is quite nice and even though the bathrooms are downstairs, there were lots of stalls and it was super clean. Our service was excellent and the drinks were cold but things went downhill when our food arrived... Chicken wings were overpriced at $17 for 9 wings. Fish and chips had to be sent back - one giant slab of semi-cooked fish and wet batter on the inside. The second one was exactly the same. Two of us got the turkey club and while it wasn't bad I realized halfway through that there was no bacon on either of our sandwiches, best part of a club! At this point we just finished and left. The food was expensive and really sub-par for the prices. Won't be back.
Unfortunately I was double charged. First receipt said void the other was normal. Both payments came out of my banking. Both meals, drinks and tip. They did zero to resolve this issue. I left but came back feeling uneasy about the money payed back to me. I was greeted with hostility and comments that made me feel cheep for not paying double. 120 for a 60 meal. Server and manager was great but the 2 IC had an extremely bad attitude. Could make the same meal at home for a fraction of the price but I’d rather pay for the next experience. I left paying double, feeling low and cheap just to be treated fairly. Lions head is new and beautiful but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who would ever wanted to be treated with respect. I left paying $120 for a 58.60 meal. Double the tip and double the price of the meal. Not a way to start your weekend. Recommend good robot, unfiltered or any other restaurant in the area if you respect yourself and money earned.
