The Lion’s Head is one of my go-to spots in the North End when I want a chill, friendly vibe. The rooftop patio is the real star — perfect for soaking up the sun.nnService is always quick and friendly, even when it’s busy, and having lots of free parking nearby makes it an easy choice. It’s also a great spot for larger groups — plenty of space and a lively atmosphere without feeling cramped.nnFood-wise, it’s mostly solid with the occasional standout. The sweet potato fries, burger, salad, mac and cheese, and a chicken wrap with soup I tried once as a feature were all great. The wings were just okay — not bad, but not a must-order for me.nnAll in all, a fun neighborhood pub with a killer patio, reliable food, and staff who make you feel welcome.
Went here yesterday with friends, we ordered nachos for the table they were decent, ordered a spicy burger, a lions head burger, a fish and chips and a pork mac n cheese.nThese were about the worst burgers I've had in Halifax, they were overcooked to the point that they were hard and to top it off cold in the center, even the buns weren't toasted. The fish was also overcooked to being hard but surprisingly the batter wasn't cooked through. Maybe the meat was pulled out the freezer and cooked but was very badly done. The mac n cheese was ok.nnWill not be going back again.
Nice place! Our server was on point, we asked for the baseball game on and she made it happen! Food was good. I had the donair flatbread and hubby had wings. Nice open space. Easy to park and get to.
First time hear at this location and I enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was nice and the food was pretty good. I would definitely go back. Oh and lots of parking.
Lunch with friends I got the Lions head burger, which was fairly decent it had small amount of heat which I enjoy . Fries were thin and crunchy but fairly basic. Also got a side order of sweet potato fries with a dipping sauce,, which were great. My friend had the veggie Powerball which was a fairly large salad. Finished things off with the apple crisp and brownie squares, which were pretty good. I’ll definitely be back. They have a pretty decent size menu with a wide variety of options. They also have a breakfast menu. I’ll definitely be back to check out the Elvis poutine and fish and chips. I heard they were great.
