El Rancho Motel

We got off the ferry on a very foggy, very chilly evening. The El Rancho, while seemingly outdated and unassuming, was the only available affordable option. The owner was a friendly and attentive gentleman who took the time to set us up and acquaint us to our room. While fixtures and bedding had a retro feel, the room was clean and well kept. Our sleep was peaceful and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but generous with a charming "I am at home," feel. The cereal options reminded me of growing up with my dad as the Cornflakes were mixed with Raisin Bran and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. They also served Joe Louis and Passion Flakies and anyone who does this as a continental breakfast option gets a win in my books. Would I return? Most definitely.

This place should be shut down. Definitely has bugs and many spiders. Maybe it's better than sleeping in the grass, but maybe not. Everything is worse than imaginable. Odd smell that cannot be described. I would never come back here, I'll take my chances sleeping outside next time. Wifi mostly doesn't work. Hidden charges that changed the price after the initial quote. Floor is dirty, bathroom floor ended up flooding after showering, no a/c. Since the power is turned off when no one is using, the ice trays had water in them. Rooms definitely need updating if we are expected to pay such high prices.

Picturesque view. Offers free breakfast including coffee, cereal, toast and toppings, as well as takeaway options such as yogurt cups and wrapped pastry. WiFi was down the whole time we were there and there were insects in the bathroom when we arrived as the window was left open. A bit of a touristy area so this was the budget option we found, though a bit much for the value still. They turn the power off if no one is staying in the room so leave time for the fridge to come down to temperature before relying on it to chill anything. We had to plug it in first.

I want going to stay here for a month . I paid 1000$ upfront . When I got into the place , it's very out dated , beds are hard, and one bed was sloped . The internet does not work most of the time. There is cob webs everywhere . The smell of stale smoke and an smell that I can't explain . Told him I wanted my money back and leave was only hers for one night and refused to give my money back . I would never recommed this place to any one . And the tv old no flat screen to hook up my computer to watch Netflix . I will never stay here again

Its a relatively peaceful place with a nice view. The rooms arnt in the best condition not dirty just a bit dated and the prices are a little high for what you get.
