These tacos are delicious and varied in flavour and spice level. The washrooms are really small and the chairs are not comfortable (and not meant for big people). The atmosphere is pretty cozy and suave.

Ottawa needs a good quality modern taco shop. Coming from Toronto, where there is a robust taco scene, I was hoping to see a transplant of the concept. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I rated the restaurant 2 stars only because of the good service and nice atmosphere; the food was a disappointment and deserves none. I love the urban "hidden enclave" atmosphere and servers, the lighthearted decor, communal tables. Service was warm and knowledgeable without being intrusive. But the food was poor quality, and didn't merit the high sticker price. The $5.50 beef taco contains only that--beef. And it's mostly unseasoned, without a crema, salsa, or fresh element. The plain beef hits your tongue and underwhelms, leaving you chewing and wondering "where is the flavour?" The crispy fish taco, at $6 a pop, is apparently a best-seller. While marginally better than the horrid beef taco, it also lacks any sense of balance, either in terms of texture or flavour. It's just a lump of fried fish with a squeeze of lime. Has the chef at El Camino ever even eaten a proper taco?

A bit pricey but money's worth on taste and quality. Great range of drinks for a night out. They don't take bookings but they will text you once a table is available. Plenty of places to have a drink while you wait for a table. Try the Elgin beer project across the street.

I don't know what made their tacos special, but its for sure addictive. The layers of flavour in the taco is insane, and it applies to all meats. Drinks are good too. Be prepared to wait for an hour to get seated during dinner time. They will text you once your table is ready so you can wondering around the block, which is pretty cool.

Great food, and great atmosphere. The price is a bit expensive (~$6/taco) but they're tasty. What I don't like is that they bring the food whenever it's ready, and not for the whole table at once. This makes it awkward when half the table receive their food and the rest are waiting hungry. It's awkward for the persons that receive their food, and for the ones waiting for theirs. It shouldn't be hard for the kitchen staff to prepare the food in a timely fashion so it comes out around the same time. I do love that they'll take your number and text you when your table is ready.
