Earl's design and atmosphere are definitely the main reason to visit, whether you want to stay inside to enjoy their lounge bar or have a fresh meal on their patio. Their service was excellent too. Think of it as paying for the experience not so much for the food. $$$$
My daughter & I decided to return here for a lunch together. Previous visit was 6 years ago. Earl's is still doing very well. We arrived at High Noon & a lovely hostess secured us a patio table for 2 in minutes. Our wonderful waitress Kina took our orders within minutes. We started with a Basil Watermelon Splash for her while I had the Double Passion Moscow Mule. Both were very tasty. Entrees included Cajun Chicken Sandwich with Fries & Gravy & the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl with a side of yam fries. Service remains terrific & food delicious. We'll definitely return should the opportunity present itself.
Had the Yucatan chicken tacos, peppercorn sirloin with mashed potatoes + veggies, and the sticky toffee chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream. Everything was delicious and arrived in a timely manner. Excellent service!Food: 5/5
I really enjoyed my first time at Earl’s. We went for a lunch. It’s spacious and we had a nice booth. Our server was super friendly and conversational. I wish that I remembered her name. She’s a brunette in her 20s who had recently travelled to Mexico and we talked about that and made our experience even better. We ordered the Chipotle Calamari for a starter and it was tasty. A little too breaded for my taste but overall good. For my main, I ordered the Chicken, Brie & Fig Sandwich. The combo was sweet and savory. It reminded me of Turkey and Cranberry sandwiches. I had the yam fries as as a side. They were delicious. The chipotle aioli sauce that comes with the fries is amazing! It has the perfect amount of spice. My bf ordered the Cajun Chicken Sandwich. He said that he orders it often and it’s his favorite. And I asked about the staircase in the middle of the restaurant that leads upstairs. It’s a secret room that can be rented for $100 and sits up to six people. I definitely look forward to coming back and reserving it!
The server never checked on us before finishing our dishes, and even was not kind. So I told manager, but she looks doesn't care about our opinion. I had visited there many times, but from now, I will never go again. That's not worth it.Recommended dishesCajun Chicken Sandwich, Earls Wings, Burger and Fries
Couldn't say more good things. My self and my mom were out for dinner after cirque du soleil. Our server, Frederick, was attentive and prompt. Both my steak and my mother's were done to perfection and I highly recommend adding the mushrooms and peppercorn sauce. Bathrooms were clean and smelled nice. Hostess' were informative and friendly. Top notch service served with top notch food. Definitely will be back!
I live nearby and I like to come here often for drinks and dinner with friends. It takes a while so don't expect a quick meal. I generally enjoy this aspect and they usually have great food.. Today i was served rotten veggies on a salad and when I mentioned this they brought the plate to the kitchen and just removed a portion of the meal and sent back the same plate. I am paying 20$ for a salad. Just make a new one. I'll rethink this spot the next time.e I eat out
I spent an evening at Earls for my brother-in-law's birthday and I had one of the best meals I have had in recent years. I had two pieces of cajun blackened chicken, which were tender and covered in a thick layer of an incredible mix of spices. They rested on a bed of creamy coleslaw and warm potato salad. I was recommended a beer from the Saskatoon Brewery from the server which paired perfectly and finished the night with a pretty good New York cheesecake. Since that night, we searched for the recipe for the potato salad and found that Earls has a cookbook to make the meals at home! All in all, it was a fantastic experience and I am excited to return as soon as I can!
I loved the food here, loved it, the rosemary focacia? bread slice I had with my chicken caesar salad was probably the best bread I have ever eaten truly! Caesar salad was dope and I got the cajun chicken and it was spiced to perfection. Service was amazing! 4 stars due to the atmosphere - it is so aesthetically strange but cool outside with it's 3 giant parrots and sorta gothic pirate ship graveyard feel - Inside however is boring af - looks like almost every other restaurant on 2nd ave looking at you state and main and the cactus club which is a shame. Bathrooms are clean and have lots of mirrors. Highly recommend the food. Ordered Caesar salad with cajun chicken breast Vegetarian options: try the crispy tofu tacos! Dietary restrictions: lots of great vegan options
Went there with my fiancé. The ambiance was great. The music was not too loud. The service was fast and courteous. We ordered the burger with bacon and extra saute mushrooms and the chicken brie fig burger with fries. Everything was fresh, hot and juicy The fries were nicely cooked and the gravy was a bit on the salty side but tasty. For dessert we got the New York City cheesecake which was delicious. Will go back for sure.
