Driven Performance

I sent Driven Performance an email explaining my health issues not sure if they could help me or not. Miguel booked an appointment for me to talk further. My husband decided he should come too since he also has mobility issues. We knew we both at our age (over 50) we had to begin doing some form of exercise. After talking with Miguel he thought the best course of action was some one on one training to strengthen muscles we haven’t used in a long time. He knew he’d be setting us up for failure if he sent us into classes where we weren’t able to do the exercises. It’s been several months now and we have seen huge results in our movement. Miguel is so patient with us and helps to modify exercises that are difficult. At Driven Performance you are not another member you are part of a family. Miguel even suggested to text him if it snowed and we needed someone to shovel since he knew my husbands back was in pain. Thank you Miguel and staff for leading us gently into health. You have been amazing!

An excellent team of trainers with a very supportive, fun and friendly fitness community atmosphere. Classes are very challenging and motivating, but safe for all levels. They offer help in setting goals, diet, tracking progress, etc.

Extremely expensive. Personal trainer allowed weeping children to run around during classes creating a dangerous environment for both children and those using equipment. Owners had their baby in the gym by the ropes several times. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS "GYM" PERIOD! Many women at my new gym shared similar experience, with Gym Owner. Which is how this all came up! Further, I know of NO professional gym where very small children or babies would be allowed unprotected around adults exercising with free weights etc., starting out or otherwise! Thank you for your response. I am glad that your standards are finally improving, Miguel. As for expense, yes, it is relative. You are the most EXPENSIVE "gym" in Nanaimo for what you provide, as a means for unsuspecting people you "suck" in to help them loose weight! I came to your gym last year!!! DREADFUL! DO NOT USE THIS GYM!

Instructors are great, super positive energy. The gym is like a friendly boot camp experience, push yourself but only do as much as your body can take, that's all they ask. They are about bettering yourself, not just going crazy like a boot camp workout gym.

Miguel is such an amazing trainer and motivator! It takes a special person to get a full group of people up for 6am classes! His programs are fun and individually challenging so they are good for anyone at any level. His passion for helping his clients is unmatched by many! Thanks for everything Miguel!
