As soon as I walked in I felt welcomed. I had never boxed before and the owner taught me how to wrap my hands. I had a great workout and everyone in the class was awesome and very supportive.

This is a wonderful place for training whether if you want to learn martial arts or boxing. The staff members and everyone are very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.

No joke, I love this place. I started training with the staff here almost two years ago. I knew nothing about martial arts. I just knew that I needed to get in shape and didn't want to go back to a "normal" gym.
This place is small and, at times, feels more like a club than a gym. You'll quickly get to know people, if not by name then by face. And you'll find that everyone is cheering for each other's success.
Owner Greg Eck has been one of the primary instructors I've trained under. His classes are accessible to beginners as well as more experienced martial artists. And they're a great workout! Make sure you bring a towel!
If you're just looking to get into shape, you can't go wrong with the boxing classes. They blend classic exercises, cross-fit style exercises, and boxing into a serious workout.
I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking to have some fun and keep engaged while getting in shape. This is way better than just running on a treadmill!
Update: I recently moved to Seattle and had the opportunity to train at one of the most popular martial arts schools in the area. They can't compare with Downers Grove Boxing! Not all martial arts gyms are created equal and DG Boxing is the gold standard!
