I’ve been using Discount on Upper James for nearly 4 years consistently. This location is simply fantastic. The service has never been shy of friendly , professional and helpful. Everyone that works there is just wonderful! Such a welcoming crew! Always helping me through learning all of the new gimmicks cars have now. Connecting my phone to Bluetooth. There have been times that I didn’t feel 100% comfortable in certain vehicle ( small cars are what I feel best in ) without hesitation they would switch me into what works best. I must also say, that there have never been ‘secret costs’ that someone mentioned. I’ve never found it difficult to read through a contract myself but everything is quite straightforward. Regardless of the hundreds of times I’ve visited, they walk me through the paperwork and tell me what I’m putting my initials on. Just can’t say enough about this place :) Always always my #1

I rented a car from this location from 18-26 November 2017 after a not-at-fault accident took away my car for good. My insurance covered all expenses. Victor did all the paper work and assured me I will not have to pay any extra costs. I was told by him there is a $150 hold on my card that will be released upon the return of the car. I was not asked at any point if I agree with any extra insurance. I returned the car on 25 and called in Monday 27 to make sure everything was ok. Victor told me everything is ok and the $150 hold on my card has been released. A week later I discovered a $54 charge on my credit card. Discount never try to contact me about this charge and no receipt was provided to me. When I asked for an explanation I was provided with a document which Victor had me sign and initial to agree with extra insurance daily for the rental duration. Customers do not get a copy unless they ask for it. I have never agreed with that. He mislead me into signing, telling me not to worry and that I'll not have to pay anything. When I tried to contact the branch manager Michael I was told he's not there. I went there in person and still no luck. I was told he has no direct phone. So customers be aware of this kind of practice and read every document they ask you to sign. The letters are very small like size 6 or so. Bring an eye loupe and do NOT trust this people. Total disrespect for customers wish or need and making you feel like an idiot for trusting them. Thank you for the awful experience Discount Car and Truck Rental Upper James Hamilton.

Terrific service from these guys. After a branch crashed through my windshield just before the start of the long weekend they were able to get me into a vehicle in no time flat. I was due to work all weekend (12 hr shifts) and they did a great job being able to get me into a car. Terrific job by all!! Thank you so much to all the staff.
