Friendly staff and a lot of variety. They have an all day breakfast option, large lunch and dinner menu and a buffet option. The food itself could have been a bit more flavourful compared to some of the other Chinese food spots around town. The price is also pretty average for the city. We had the buffet option and so got to sample much of the different dishes. Everything was cooked well and for $33 it's worth it, if like me, you eat a lot. Nice desserts too.
On our first day in Fredericton, my wife and I were invited for a brunch at the Diplomat and we couldn't have asked for a better welcoming present! The breakfast is simply delicious! All staff members were great at their jobs, treated us wonderfully and the prices were fair. It's not a mystery why this is a classic and traditional place in Fredericton. We recommend it to everyone!!!
Awesome supper. The number of awards on the wall are quite understandable after eating there. Fantastic buffet. Service by Christina was top notch! Thank you! Cannot recommend it enough.
The food and service were both great. My appetizer came quickly, and my entree was served immediately after I finished it. The server brought me a drink refill before I even asked. The food was tasty and the portion size was very large. Everything was cooked perfectly. This place is somewhat expensive, but well worth it. Parking: The lot is narrow and a bit challenging to navigate. It may be better to park at the Delta Hotel next door.
INCREDIBLE! Snow Crab in the buffet. My girlfriend Robin loved the Curry noodles.
Great variety of foods, except don't come here too late at night as they didn't have much selection left for the people that wanted to get a desert. Their Chinese food was really good and different from what I normally get anywhere else around NB.
We went for the buffet. The restaurant itself was incredibly clean, and really nice. The waitress was great, came to our table frequently and was really pleasant. The big disappointment was the food. Not just one or two items, but most. They served cold crab legs with butter so cold it hardened. The oysters were full of sand. The noodles were similar to overcooked Sidekicks. Wonton soup was like soy sauce and water. I could go on. Not one dish was labelled, it was a guess as to what you were choosing. Our bill was shy of $200 and we left so incredibly disappointed and underwhelmed. Unfortunately we will not return.
The building was very clean. The service was quick and friendly. The food was very disappointing. I had the all you can eat buffet and left feeling like the cost of the buffet didn't match the food quality. Most of the cold items in the buffet looked like they just slid out of a 5 gallon pail and had very little seasoning to them. The hot items in the buffet were slightly better but most were over cooked and the serving trays didn't keep the food warm enough. Maybe Sunday afternoons aren't the best time to visit the buffet but it'll be a long time until I visit the restaurant again. We went out with a family of eight and were not impressed.
Can't see why others diss the 'Dip'. At first glance, yes it seems pricey, but the immense portions justify the price. Awesome combo plates...HUGE combo plates! All prepared fresh, served hot,and promptly. Our Server very genial, helpful and great humour. Thank you Audra. Pleasant and satisfying dinner.
I went here on my with hubby. We had not been there for 10 yrs. The food was good, beef broccoli and chicken chow mien was delicious..not soggy as prepared by other restaurant; batter on chicken balls too thick but still were good; service was great and friendly even with COVID-19 facing everyone. They presented me with 2 brownies with whip cream and happy birthday with candle..it was good and thanked staff. Forgot to mention Combo 1 is enough for 2.
