Charming, excellent service and great portions. The lobster roll with poutine was divine and large enough for two. The grilled cheese and corn chowder was also great — crispy, cheesy and creamy. Some tables have jukeboxes. It’s obviously a local favorite. Can’t recommend enough if you’re looking for a local experience with great food!
I know that certain restaurants want to push their select carbs to the public — toast and potatoes. To the body, those are two carb options or two pancakes. Luckily I had a server who let me sub out at least the toast for a pancake and I polished those off. Unfortunately, I discovered that their scrambled eggs are not very desirable and I won’t get them that way again. Also, the ham steak was a bit too marbleized for my tastes but the burnt sausage? Divine! Get the coffee - it’s cheap and enjoy some comfort food!
A typical small town family run business- great food and service with fabulous prices. Portions were on the smaller side but enough for one person. Very homely feel and ambience with friendly staff. Parking is available outside and it's not in the bigger areas so it's not crowded. Saw a jukebox at each table but not sure it works.
Small 7 tables local diner. Interesting decor. Had the lobster roll and lobster BLT. They were good, nothing special. Good service. Entrance is in the back. Parking: A few spaces in front, more in the rear.
I was only in town for a few days. This spot was recommended on google and a couple locals. I ordered a lobster roll and an order of fried clams with chips. I was very very impressed, and waves of nostalgia hit me as I remembered by times in NB growing up. It’s possible to get lobster in Ontario, but good luck with fried clams. The service here was very friendly, the woman serving us was likely an owner or manager, no complaints! To top it off she offered us some homemade pie, and we opted for the homemade bread pudding which was absolutely phenomenal. It was like something I would expect to be served at my grandmothers house. This is a must visit in Fredericton, great food, nice local atmosphere, friendly service.
I got steak and eggs, my bf got salmon Benedict there. Was my first time here and I was so shocked about the size of the steak!! It was so so so tasty! The fries was crunchy, the steak was juicy, the eggs were perfectly cooked, and the toasts were so nice!! I love the atmosphere and their servers look so pro and fast! Great food, great service, and great atmosphere! Definitely will go back when I visit Fredericton!
I have visited this place for many times. Everything was awesome. The food is great with a lot of variety. It is also a great place for family to spend good time together. The parking could be tricky as the parking space is limited. You can park in the front of the restaurant or the back.
I ate at this place as a kid. Really fond memories so I had to get there while in Fredericton. Place was just as I remembered. The food was great. Simple, comfort dinner fare. It is a small, very small spot so seating can be at a premium. But you need to check it out.
I am featuring The Cabin in Fredericton, NB! Diner style food with true canadian hospitality! Taste- Awesome selection of dishes that tasted great. They are famous for their bread pudding and rightfully so! Its a must to try when you visit! Portion- Very generous portions! Price- prices ranged from $2-$13 CDN Service- Great! Despite the lunch hour rush and having to quickly clean and seat customers lining up, they were friendly, attentive and answered our questions! Location- on a quaint rural road. We walked here from the Delta hotel down the road. Beautiful homes and scenery. Parking could possibly be an issue if it gets busy. Looks to be a Fredericton institution and is a must try when in town! Search “ Edmonton Eats Fredericton, NB THE CABIN “ on youtube!
I stopped for lunch here on the drive back home from my East Coast trip with my family. We all ordered seafood dishes and loved them. The lobster roll was on the small side but was filled well with lobster. At the same price the lobster and bacon club was a better choice due to portion size. My boys loved the Seafood Platter and portion was good. Busy place even at 2.30pm. Good, friendly service.
