Ding Tai Fung

I went in one day on a cold winter day to enjoy some spicy beef soup with dumplings. One of the best places to order wonton, dumplings, and dim sum. Everything is made fresh on spot with a see through window behind the kitchen. Great atmosphere to dine in as well . The noodles was great with the beef being so soft . As someone who enjoys spicy food I would have preferred if the broth was more spicy but other than that great experience. Give it a solid 8/10. You get 10 % off if you pay with cash !

The dumping in this restaurant chain cannot go wrong. I have been eating in the Markham location since day one however it’s always terrible wait there. This location is much bigger, clean and comfortable. The food tastes the same. Just the curry noodles a bit salty but overall excellent. No wait to get in. Kids and seniors friendly. Lots of parking spots. Sorry we started eating before taking pictures. p.s. you don’t need to touch any door to get to the washrooms which is nice.

Great place for dim sum. It's Shanghai style food and stream dumplings is the best I had. The flavours are great but it might be too strong for some people. Lots of their food have peanuts so people with allergies beware. We ate everything except the sasame sauce noodles. It taste great but it's way too heavy. Not for light eaters. The stream dumplings are by far the best.

Food was great. Service was even better, especially with the two little ones we had. The standard pork soup dumplings are very good. Spicy wontons are also a fan favourite. Make sure you try different things, almost all are good.

Used to like going to the one on Hwy 7. But not anymore after I tried this location. This restaurant is clean, bright and spacious. Also the food is tasty and portion is big. Staff is polite and supportive. Highly recommended.

It was my first time and it was a great experience so enough space to park and plenty of space for sitting as well. The servers and staff are friendly and helpful. Let's talk about food 14. Soup Dumpling: juicy & delicious 54. Minced pork and vegetable wonton soup : portion was huge and good as well 31. Pan fried pork and chive pops: was ok, enough for 2 people 81. Soy stewed pork and mushroom with steamed rice: the pork was tender loved it 147. Iced plum drink: not to my liking Overall it's a wonderful place for a family gathering or catching up with friends, not that pricey we had a wonderful time and were full at the end of the day

The food is always tasty and fresh. The restaurant is clean and it has a good atmosphere. Great place for Shanghai style dim sum. The soup filled dumplings are a must!

This place has no affiliation to the Taiwanese chain of Ding Tai Fung, but rather this place has a bit of an identity crisis, categorizing itself as a Shanghai else restaurant but displaying Taiwanese landmarks inside. This is a fairly large restaurant good for small or large parties. It was fairly busy for dinner on a weekend but was seated right away. Here you'll find Taiwanese staples like Dan Dan noodles, beef noodle soup and their signature soup dumplings. In the back you'll see them wrapping the dumplings through the glass window. I ordered the hot and sour soup, beef noodle soup, soup dumplings and pancake beef rolls. The favourites for the evening were the soup dumplings as they have a nicely thin wrapper with juicy filling inside. And the pancake beef rolls were nice too. The pancakes were nice and flaky with enough beef in each bite. I'm generally not a fan of hot and sour soup, but to get it right, one needs to balance these two flavours which I think they did. The beef noodle soup wasn't anything special. Service was quick and friendly. I'd come back again.

Selected the dim sum choices for dinner. Decent food but quite pricy. But perhaps expected for an internationally recognized restaurant chain. I probably won't return as I don't think it was a good deal, and there's better dim sum elsewhere. However if you like siu long bau, then this is the place to get it.Food: 3/5

Excellent food. You just want to try everything. Fried rice craving.... cured. Chunky Beef soup, just delicious that melts in your mouth. Need some greens, get the bok choi in a garlic sauce
