Congee Me

It's Chinese style "all day breakfast ". You can have all Chinese special pasta such as Deep-fried Dough Sticks, Steamed Buns, Dumplings, Flavored Beef Wraps, noodles, all kinds of side dishes such as Boiled Potatoes Slices with Chilli Sauce, and variety of stir-fried dishes. I tasted my hometown. It's authentic hometown dish.

I agree with below reviewers that the name is misleading. I stumbled upon this place based on recommendation from a friend. Based on the name, this is definitively 100% not your traditional canton congee restaurant. The congee served here is more like mainland style morning breakfast congee. Congee Me actually specializes in norther Chinese food. Their spicy chilly sauce is delicious and just the right combination of spicy and savoury. Highly recommend their cold noodle in appetizer section very authentic. Their spicy fish is also quite delicious packed with flavour. Dumplings are super affordable and loaded with leeks and meat. Loved every bite! This is regular mainland Chinese food spot for me! Covid protocol is followed. All staff were wearing masks. Tables are spaced apart every other table. Alcohol sanitizer available. Service was fast and attentive no issues with the servers during the many times that I have been.

The name was a but misleading as a congee place, instead, it serves northern Chinese staples like hand pulled noodles that are tasty and lots of spicy dishes from tofu, noodle soups, lamb, and various innards like pork intestines. They seem to have a loyal following, primarily a younger client base. Pricing is decent for the amount of food served. But again, not much congee to choose from unlike the typical congee places. The broth was good as well as the spice combinations. Parking can be an issue with the tight spaces that are also few.

I don’t get why so many reviews are calling this place reasonable price. Ordered over $50 of food and can’t get 2 people full. Everything is in very tiny portion. The portion of the lamb soup is a joke for $10 dollars, $14 worth of lamp kabob, very small size and dry as hell.

AVOID AVOID....Beware of unadvertised charges added to your bill. This extra 13% consider as 'service charge'. Therefore no need to add any tips Waitress were very rude!

The lamb soup sells for $6.9 in store and $7.9 on delivery app. The second picture is what they put on the app, the first picture is the actual. It is very hard to find lamb meat in it. The little meat I found are cut into ridiculously small pieces. It does not worth even $2.

Menu has a good spread of items. Nothing is standout, prices are cheap, and the food is tasty.

Food here is so so. The best is their beef noodle. Their dumplings is not that good. Service is ok. It's the by law now to check for vaccinations prove before you can eat in for all restaurants, but they don't even care to ask anyone whether they have had their vaccine. It's not safe to eat there. I won't go back.

I’ve been eating at Congee Me over 5 years. The food used to be consistently good at reasonable price. Unfortunately nowadays we found they serve old leftover food to customer. Very disappointing. Anyone had the same experience? Highly recommend DO NOT order their takeout, unless you dine-in to physically see the food quality. Covid did change our lives in many aspects, but it should never change the quality of food that restaurants will offer.

Staff was extremely rude. We were trying to order, and she doesn't even bother answering us after a couple of questions about the menu. In matter of fact she doesn't even bother with eye contact, and it's not like she was doing anything else, she was literally just looking elsewhere without even acknowledging our presence. I think they make too much money that they don't even bother with customer service anymore.
