Danada Deli & Pantry

Went for the special. It was pork chops, and they were delicious. Highly recommend the Soups too. Tried the split pea and the cream of rice. Both good. Great place for sandwiches, since they have great selection and so fresh.

This family-owned deli was PERFECT for our party. Their homemade food Hungarian goulash and chicken parmesan was DELICIOUS, according to the guests. This hidden gem in Wheaton deserves recognition. Thank you!!!

Update: I was looking for a great deli near me, I called and they had moved it to Roosevelt Rd. from Danada Square in Rice Lake... I can walk / ride a bike there now! The people there are so very friendly & helpful, keep it nice, clean, bright & inviting! HOMEMADE FOOD DAILY ! Daily specials*, soups*, & they have homemade desserts*... You can check*** by clicking on their website 9-10am daily to see what they are... It's so very helpful/convenient, I really like it... They owners & staff take pride in all they do, & reflects in their food, service, really shows! Love ALL the soups & everyday specials - it's SO very yummy! There's tables to dine in / or can take it to go... I got to try their corned beef sandwich and their Mititei or Cevapi sausage and can't wait for more homemade Hungarian sausage coil which they make that in house too... They're amazing! Great place! I stopped in there for a quick bite. Heard great things. All the things I heard were spot on! Orders two sandwiches and a soup and was blown away. So fresh and the tastes were so well balanced. Everything you could ask for in a good sandwich. Looking forward to trying some of the hot dishes they offer. No doubt they are probably amazing! Also very friendly staff. Which also goes a long way. Do everything you can to try this place it will not disappoint.

The owners at Danada Deli offer delicious food. We had Schnitzel with mushroom gravy, cabbage rolls with Sauerkraut and amazing bread. Best of all, though, was the fact that they went out of their way to accommodate a Saturday pickup, even though the store was technically closed due to another off-site catering commitment. We will definitely return and try the other menu items and specials. I don’t think that German/Hungarian cuisine is available at this level of quality and tastiness anywhere else around here. I can only highly recommend Danada Deli! Thanks for helping to make a backyard birthday party a big success!

Arrived a bit late but the owner, a very nice lady, invited me in. Now enjoying an extremely nice ham and cheese sandwich on super fresh marble rye ... It is really delicious!!! She spoke about their corned beef and cabbage meal this week so I think I will be back for that!! Thank you so much for being open ... Really appreciated for something healthy for lunch. Wanted a sandwich. But not a chain place. Past this place and went back to try ot put. Very nice lady took my order. American sub no mustard. Beautiful sandwich! Just the right size!I'll be back when I'm in the area to try another!

Wow!... Don't sleep on Danada Deli! The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Clean inside and friendly atmosphere. Everything tasted fresh and the flavors were very well balanced. You can definitely tell how much pride they take in their food. The Italian Beef was one of the best I've had. It was juicy, but the bread held together well, and yet, it wasn't tough, or chewy bread either. It was great. The Apple Tart was one of the most delicious pastries I've ever eaten. Another shining example of their mastery of balancing flavors. Do not be intimidated, it's not anywhere near as "rich" as it appears. It's sweet, for sure, but not too sweet. I finished it and felt like I wanted 3 more, instead of struggling to finish 1 due to something being too rich or sweet. All around a great experience and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Friendly service, fun owner, and GREAT sandwich. My one complaint is maybe don't put condiments on both sides? It makes the middle parts move off the bread. Other than that, the bread was fluffy and fresh, the veggies were crisp, and the turkey was on point.
