We made a stop at this restaurant after a toss up with three others. I had not been here in two years; the last time was with my friend, who was meeting me here. First, the place has been renovated, good job, but the crowd is older and for 8:30pm on a Saturday night, I expected more people here; at least that is how things were a couple years ago. Needless to say service was slow coming, but the waitress was very good when she arrived, with here suggestions. We decided on the pepper shrimp, chili chicken and fries. I know, odd combo, but I cant handle too much heat... The base coating used on both dishes was the same?? I was a little perplexed , but the food was done well. I cant give 2.5 stars, but that's my rating. The pepper shrimp was different but good, I give it 4 stars, the chili chicken was lacking, I gave it 2 stars, the fries were from Costco, and as usual, were great, a no brainer. I'll go back with my friend and try some other dishes soon. The renovation is a plus plus. Update: October 5th 2019. Me and my partner had a stop over to try other dishes. We tried the Fry Chicken and found that the once Hong Kong style chicken had evolved into something else, it was a welcomed change to the texture and taste, well done. We also had the polourie order, with chutney. It was probably the best we have had, but I must say, we have only had it three times in about five years, but it had a crunchy outside and an warm soft inside, just right. The flavor was really good. Our only side order we decided to try was the "Tanty Special"; it really was not, and I decided to leave it out of the scoring ledger. This we will not have again. But the experience was better than the last, so I felt, raising the rating was justified. Thanks for your service and food.
The pepper shrimp at D'Pavilion is so flavorful! The perfect appetizer before your meal.
Great food. I ordered via ubereats the pepper shrimp, fried rice, chicken wings, jerk chicken and a double. Everything was delicious. Very typical Chinese Caribbean recipes but in this case, more favourable than most of its local competition. I would definitely order from here again.
Adequate parking Staff was great washrooms were a a bit dated clean restaurant live Caribbean music we had The pepper shrimp was absolutely delicious. the mix fried rice was delicious as well with chicken on top cook to my liking the hot sauce was hot
A lovely family owned restaurant. The food is great and prices are fair enough. The service is fast, friendly. I cant say much more because I usually order out. But it is a spacious clean environment from my first impression. Overall good experience.
Let me start off with the food because that is what I was surprised most by. I ordered pepper shrimp, chilli chicken and spicy calimari...and it was the best i have ever had. I am not messing around, it was that good and to top that off the service was fantastic and on point. The bartender was funny and gave you the proper drinks you asked for and the interior was not all out in your face, but very simple. I would definitely go again.
Not as good as the first two times..
Pavilion has the absolute best servers/waitstaff in town hands down. Always friendly, fast and helpful. The food is amazing I recommend the pepper shrimp. They play football maches in the day and the pool table is a definite plus. As for party's great spot for Thursdays. Security Staff is professional and pleasant. Check it out u won't regret it
I love the spicy honey bbq chicken that they have on the menu... I enjoy the drinks on special nights like martini Tuesdays or getting a corona bucket for 29 bucks ... not to mention the music and people you meet while being at D’pavilion. The bar is clean and organized and open late if u looking for week day fun .... the patio is very quaint .. they also have live DJs throughout the week .... I love this place
Purchased a Shrimp Lo Mein and requested specifically small amount of oil and extra vegetables because I was ordering for my Aunty who has cancer. She was craving this type of meal but has to be careful on the oil consumption. Also ordered pepper shrimp and fried Banga Mary. When I saw this sloppy saucy brown lo mein, I felt so bad for my Aunty. We all were disappointed. No taste except from this overloaded brown sauce literally swallowing the noodles and the vegetables. Next was the pepper shrimp. They say looks can be deceiving. Was a colourful display of green & red peppers an onions and the shrimp were large BUT the taste was super lacking! No heat from any pepper just the taste of simbal. So it had a sweet aftertaste. Yuck! And lastly the fried fish...Banga Mary. What a waste of my money. Over fried and tasteless. I will never order from there again. LUCKILY I KNEW TO ORDER FROM WINDIES ACROSS THE STREET FOR MYSELF AND GOT THE PEPPER SHRIMP AND WINDIES SPECIAL FRIED RICE WITH CHICKEN ON TOP.....THE BEST EVER! THAT'S MY PLACE AND ENDORSE 100%....NOT THIS SKUNT!
