"Ritz Caribbean Foods was started in October 1999 by CEO Richard Moore, who says it took a lot of hard work and perseverance, along with a few sacrifices that had to be made in order to become successful with his first Jamaican Restaurant in Toronto. The first restaurant was opened at Yonge and Bloor, and although the name wasn't well known at the time, those who discovered the restaurant loved the food and kept coming back for more.Although this Jamaican restaurant serves Caribbean food, it is well known to all different races and age groups. We are now franchising, for more information about franchising please contact us."

Great food, excellent cooking. Great prices. Warning make sure you're accustomed to spicy food. If you like curried goat or jerk chicken this place is hard to beat. This location is wheelchair accessible, friendly atmosphere bathrooms were clean. For those who want a spicy dinner this is a great place to try out. I love their ox tail. Vegetarian options: Decent selection of food, rice and peas are delicious, plantains, other options. Kid-friendliness: Kids are often here. It isn't designed specifically for kids but you won't have any trouble bringing kids to eat here. Parking: Next to a grocery store so parking won't be an issue. Wheelchair accessibility: If you can get up onto the sidewalk which has a ramp on the other side you can easily navigate your way here. The bathroom will be a bit tight but should not be an issue.
Paid $20 for this Ackee and Saltfish dinner. Opening my box I saw I had been completely ripped off as there was only not exaggerating at all one single piece of saltfish no bigger than an inch in diameter in my box. See the photo attached. I felt completely taken advantage of and will never come back here again.
Messed up my order again. Check your food before you go. I ordered the Jerk chicken and oxtail combo and paid the extra… no jerk chicken Update: Decided to try this one last time, and they served me this dry and what I suspect to be, dayS old chicken. Unfortunately, this strip of the Danforth is lacking options, but you’ll find great options at Queen and Coxwell and on Pape Ave. Do better Ritz Danforth, do better. I’ll never know.
Great customer service. Very open space and clean environment. Mask are required.their food is great but the one thing I didn't like was my fried chicken fried in canola oil. I felt it through the taste off. Overall their prices are reasonable.
So you know how they cut those school lunch pizza slices so thin and small? Imagine that but with chicken. The absolute smallest most des pieces of chicken you can get. And ya the rice is usually stale. Employees aren’t that friendly either. Probably the worst ritz location out there. What do you expect for the east end of the danny.
Two people working , one cook another the cashier, service was very very slow. The food was nothing more than ok, and after the long wait the cashier had the nerve to charge me $1 for a thimbleful of hot sauce. There are so many Caribbean restaurants in Toronto, I won’t be going back to this.
So glad I tried this place! Awesome job Ritz!Food: 5/5
I truly want to support but when I order Akee and salt fish and I have to spend half of my day on the toilet sweating profusely is a bit much. The plantain was so hard I could actually gun-but someone with it. Ritz your food is representing Jamaica do better.
The rice and peas tasted like it was made 2 days prior, if not yesterday...whatever day it is minus2, 2nd the coleslaw tasted like pudding and lettuce, 3rd the gravy was tasteless, for the price paid for 2 meals and plantain that wasn't ripe, I wanted plantain...not "plain-tan-deh nyam nyam and yuh jus a chew to no taste till u spit out bcuz a dry unripe plaintin....kmbbrct kissmi"bumblebeehive"nest teeth RITZ DO BETTA!!!!! COME ON NOW!!!!
The curry goat from Ritz is soooo flavorful. Lot's of bones but the punch of flavor makes it worth it!
