I was craving some roti tonight decided to try this place down the road from me. We ordered 2 chicken dahlpuri and 1 beef.$11.50 ea.We didn’t get dahlpuri we get plain roti which was on the doughy side. The beef curry tasted like Chinese style stir fry with curry sauce and the chicken curry was to watery and tasted somewhat like carrots. It was still good to eat but If you’re looking for authentic style, Guyanese food or West Indian food this is not it Sorry
Tried their Jerk Chicken. The spice is perfect for me. It’s just spicy enough to give me the kick! The portion was generous, and it took was one piece of chicken to fill me up. The restaurant is conveniently located right across from Kennedy subway station. There is also a busy Tim Hortons just across the street.
Small joint in a corner selling good food. We went in the middle of the day and the place was nearly empty except for a couple of people having their drinks. We ordered the Goat Curry with Rice and Peas and the Dhalpuri with Chicken. Service was fast probably because both the gravies tasted exactly the same so the gravy might have been prepared before. Keep in mind that the place does not accept credit cards. We only had US dollars with us and we had to pay 1:1 for the bill. This kind of left a bad taste in the mouth later on. Personally i would not go to this restaurant again but some might like the 'value' for money here portions are generous compared to the cost.
Food was not worth the money,,ordered Beef Fries rice Pepper shrimp 4 spring rolls Rice was mushy and had to be thrown out shrimp was breaded and just deep fried...nothing like what Pepper shrimp should look or taste like. Spring rolls 2 out of 10 spent $32 on this garbage. never again
Food orders appear very quickly. Very tasty. Good portions for the price nowadays. They can modify a bit for taste. Not too spicy hot but can be added on request. Lunch specials from Monday to Thursday are as reasonable price as you can get. I highly recommend.
Ordered some take out on Sunday. Fried rice was average - what you'd expect. Also ordered a Thai red curry, which was inedible, like they could have used a store packet and it would have been better. Will not be back.
I always get the Beef Curry with Rice n Peas!
Flavourful food for a decent price - just ask if you want more spice because they assume not everyone is into extra spicy. Ordered with apps twice and the food was ready to go each time. Not a lot of seating indoors but we've lived in the age early 2020s of take-out for so long that we forgive them.
This place is amazing if u are looking for a drink and a place to socialize... the bar is very welcoming and clean ... the owner is very kind and makes sure u enjoy your time there ... the food is the next best thing .. lunch specials for 6 bucks not to mention filling too and fresh ... the wings and fries are my favourite made crispy and well done ... they open until midnight on a Thursday night.
Food was ok taste better during the week or a Friday night had the oxtail was not seasoned to take like oxtail the gravy was weak but the portion is good needed to cook a bit more. Their special chicken fried rice is good. Portion is big for a reasonable price. Try it out
