First time trying Jamaican food. Truly a life changing experience. Too bad i went to this restaurant as my first Jamaican restaurant because now the standard is set way too high. 10/10 recommend this place.
On September 7th, 2018 I took my wife out to lunch at Fire Dutch at 4286 Kingston Road. She really enjoyed the steam fish lunch it was her first time having it. We would strongly recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
I have been trying random jerk chicken joints across the city for many months. I was in the area so based on the reviews I decided to go here. It was nothing special, shop was very hot and dingy. The portion was great and quality wasn’t too bad. But the chicken was dry. Oxtail gravy was the best thing. And the man forgot my coleslaw.
My and my Husband were there on Canada Day to get some fried Chicken, and I asked Dutch to try the Oxtail, Let me tell you, taste amazing, great flavour. Can’t wait to come back to order a meal with Oxtail. Amazing fried Chicken the hubby is in love. Great Caribbean Restaurant in Scarborough
I tried Fire Dutch for the first time and I’m an instant fan!!!! I rarely do reviews unless I had a poor experience or absolutely great one, so if you don’t take reviews seriously then take my word. I ordered the oxtail with coleslaw and jerk chicken. Delicious! For years I’ve gone to Nicey’s but I found the quality of the food tastier when they were located west Scarborough, years ago. I definitely found a better local spot for take-out. The price is very reasonable and the portion suits the price. I plan to try everything on the menu.
Tasty Jamaican homecooking. The goat curry was good. We called about an hour before closing and they were out of some dishes we wanted. This is a good sign as it means the food is fresh and we need to go earlier! We also had the bbq chicken, which was super savoury and flavourful. Prices are very reasonable. Portions are huge. Thank you!
This restaurant is consistent and that's why they are the best. A lot of other places can be hit or miss but when we order from Fire Dutch we always know exactly what to expect. They always put out a great meal and the prices are very fair for the portion you receive. We have been going here for over a year now and have never been disappointed. My favourite dish is their BBQ chicken.
This ain’t it chief. Maybe because of the lack of traffic, the food is sitting. I’m sure it’s made fresh that day, however, when I ate there, it was evident it was sitting under a warmer. Didn’t help that the guy behind the counter was salty when I asked if coleslaw was extra.
Fire Dutch never disappoints. Best jerk chicken around. Large servings reasonably priced. if you're hungry and you don't want to play around you got to go over there
