Best place to camp in the Midwest. Walking distance to the lake where they allow fires on the beach. Great location to see northern light and star gaze.

Stayed many times at the DH Day Camp, god our yearly two week vacation in August. Cannot say enough about this camp ground and location.The bike trail makes it convenient for both biking and inline skating. Close to Empie, and Glen Arbor. Quiet camp ground and friendly rangers makes it hard to leave and anxious to return!

We came here labor day weekend last year on Sunday to check if there had been any open sites for the one night. They did have some people leave and we got one. This till is one of my favorite campgrounds I've ever stayed at. The beach of Lake Michigan was a 3 minute walk from our tent site. Our site was surrounded by trees. We did have neighbors next to us but for the most part we felt alone. The beach is beautiful, and we went for a night walk to star watch. There was just a little outhouse bathroom, which we didn't mind. I have nothing negative to say about this campground :)
