Cool location, great for young kids if you block off the lower deck. The water outside is shallow for a long distance into the lake making it perfect for younger kids to swim and play. The deck is large, with two tables for entertaining/dining. The bedrooms are small but comfortable. The only real drawback for me was the awkward parking. There's enough room for 3 cars in a small pull through off the road, but if you're the second car in you'll have to back out to leave if you're not leaving as a group.nnOverall I'd come back and stay again especially if I had a boat or jet-skis that I could moor out in the water past the end if the dock and the shallows.
Lake is beautiful but the lodge is hopelessly outdated and very dirty. Also, the 6 sleeper unit is too small to sleep 6 and has virtually no kitchen area. Needs updating and thorough cleaning and then could be an awesome destination.
Enjoyed our stay. Lake is amazing. Fun towns nearby: Glen Arbor, Frankfort, Traverse City.
