'planned maintenance' that they didn't tell me about. I guess I'll go re-start my laundry and see if I can salvage dinner. Thanks PUD, I'm glad this wasn't inconvenient for YOU.

Higher utility bills, I did a little research and found out that our Swift 2 hydro project is in the hands of Pacificorp and their Operators and Mechanics aren't even Journeyman Licensed. I understand now why our utility bills are so high. Pacificorp is billing us for Union Journeymen Wages and they are providing untrained workers to handle our multi million dollar project. Why doesn't the PUD just lay off all the Journeyman and engineers and higher substandard workers to give us a cheaper utility bill. It seems that this has been working for Pacificorp for a long time..

Anybody complaining about rates needs to move somewhere else, The rates are about half the national average. Been with Cowlitz PUD a little over a year now, had them on the phone a few times, could be friendlier but were always helpful. Will take these guys over Clark PUD anyday.

Talked with Colleen about weatherization stuff. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Was on a hold a bit but once answered the staff was courteous and actually forwarded me to a person.
