We saw Christina shortly after my son was born. Our son's birth was very long. The midwife we saw after the birth recommended we see someone to ensure our son's skull would settle into the proper position as his head rounded out. We heard fabulous things about Christina, so we booked in with her. Christina's kindness, knowledge, compassion, gentle healing touch, and warm heart surpassed anything I could have ever imagined. She greatly helped my son's skull using her craniosacral skills. She also supported and guided us throughout the start of our breastfeeding journey. I always left Christina's treatment room feeling empowered, pampered, rejuvenated and supported. I could also tell my son felt calm and relaxed after seeing her. As well, his head is perfectly round now. Christina is a wonderful person, and a phenomenal therapist. I would recommend any expectant or new mom & babe see her. The encouragement and support she gave us was invaluable to me after giving birth for the first time, and becoming a new mom. Thank you Christina!!
We as a family had a lovely, healing session with Christina at the clinic. I was very pleased with everything I learnt in further assisting my toddler and myself through post partum blockages. We felt Christina was very welcoming, compassionate, mindful and gentle in her approach. Which is exactly what we needed. I was very appreciative of the extra care she took with us and the wealth information she gave. I would highly recommend a session with her or to have her a part of your pre or post natal care team. Thank you so much Christina!
I first booked an appointment with Christina after the long birth of my large son who was positioned slightly posterior and so the pushing stage lasted a long time and he had some bruising. What I did not expect was to also be supported so that we were able to breastfeed successfully we were managing but it was a struggle. The breastfeeding support I received from Christina helped far beyond what my midwives and public health nurse were able to offer. She is so knowledgeable about a wide variety of things related to pregnancy, post partum and parenting. I wanted to do everything I could to have an easier birth with my daughter so I saw Christina during my pregnancy and it was the best thing I did for myself at that time. The work we did supported me so much and I believe had a big impact on my ability to deliver my daughter 9 days 'overdue' at home safely. I only wish I had booked in to see her earlier. I highly recommend making the work Christina offers a part of your pregnancy and post partum plan.
I had the pleasure of working with Christina when I was told by a Lactation Consultant that my 2 month old son had a posterior tongue tie. She gave me the contact information for Cowichan Valley Craniosacral and I am so glad I booked an appointment. Christina was so knowledgeable and gentle and I am so grateful for her expertise. She did a tongue tie assessment and just after a few sessions and working diligently with the exercises she gave us, she concluded that my son in fact had a faux tongue tie and it wouldn’t need to be surgically cut. 3 years later, I have a thriving 3 year old who did in fact not need his tongue clipped. I was able to strengthen his tongue muscles and coordination with Christina’s sessions and exercises and eventually was able to stop pumping after each time I nursed him. This was a life saver- I didn’t have to pump, my son was gaining weight again, and no more mastitis!! Thank you Christina! Also, after each session with Christina she emailed me a detailed summary of what we went over and what exercises to do which was so valuable for a sleep deprived mother like myself. I highly recommend Cowichan Valley Craniosacral!
Every time I have a treatment it is like a total reset to my nervous system. The physical symptoms from stress and anxiety dissipate also. Thank you Christina.
