2022 July 3 A good amount of green space, a small play area with a slide, swings and a see saw. A splash pad nearby. Most people come here to just relax, picnic and really enjoy the weather. The trails are nice and are part of a larger path. Pros: public washrooms Limited Paid parking on nearby side streets.
Ummm. There’s something about this park I can’t quite point, maybe it’s the layout or the architecture, you walk in the ways and end up in the same place that’s common to all. 4 stars because I saw a frog, a baby bunny and some water lilies in the swamp pond. Otherwise I’d give it a 3 maybe? I don’t know if it were just my expectations. I do like the area and the place it’s located in. Other parks are more open and vast spaces without barriers, this one has multiple small hangout places with barriers.
The pros to this park is that it has lots of green space to have a picnic or to relax. There are benches and picnic tables available. There is a nice small swirl of a trail as well. The splash pad is decent but what sells is the view. You can see the CN tower and the city from the splash pad. My 3 year old had an absolutely amazing time! The park is pretty nice too with swings, slides and see-saws. It is close to distillery district by walk. The cons is definitely the parking. The outdoor street parking AND indoor parking fill up so fast!! We spent over 15-20 minutes looking for parking. I’m not a fan of the metal slides in the playground. We went on a hot July afternoon and I had to say no to my son who wanted to go on the slide so badly.
The landscape design is thoughtful and calming. There’s something for everyone: kids playground, dog owners, solo walkers, couples, and groups. The mini park connects to the DVP trial and lakeshore trail east and west making it easy for bikers and runners. I only wish it were 10 times bigger. Public washrooms available.
Awesome park with plenty of playground equipment for kids. Available splash pad for hot summer days with nearby accessible public washrooms for changing and potty breaks. Lots of paved trails for biking and green space to let dogs run. Highly recommend!
My favorite urban park in east Toronto. Multi use facilities - playground, sports fields, nature trails and wetlands watch for dive bombing redwing blackbirds! . Washroom facilities at the top of the hill. Easy walk from downtown or take streetcar to cherry st or come down from the king st / queen st car. Ample park benches and great city scape views. Also conveniently located at base of Don valley trail bike or hike and the lakeshore bike lane. LongSlice Brewery only 5 min walk away too so grab some cans and lounge!
Beautiful well kept park with a great play area for kids. Gem in the city
Nice place to hang around specially with kids. Friends and family can have fun outdoor time together too
Runner who need short hills for interval training in downtown Toronto could find Corktown Common helpful. Lovely space and enough terrain variations to be interesting for runs. Plus there’s always doggos having fun around so that’s a bonus! :
We really liked this little park, especially the splash pad and playground areas. Lots of green space to set and relax. The only one issue is finding a parking! Common issue for Toronto but overall experience was fantastic
