I am amazed of the beautiful murals and graffiti in this park. I enjoyed looking each images. Even it was a bit raining when I walked by. There are lots of things to do. Some restaurants in the area. I saw people skateboarding, biking, or simply walking withe their pets. There is huge green park in the area too. Transportation is very convenient. I highly recommend this place to visit or stroll.
Underpass Park is a vibrant and dynamic public space located in the heart of Toronto, Canada. The park is an innovative use of space, transforming the area beneath the Eastern Avenue, Richmond and Adelaide overpasses into a unique urban playground for visitors of all ages. The park features plenty of amenities, including graffiti art, skateboard facilities, a kids' playground, parking, and a nearby coffee shop. One of the park's most impressive features is the plethora of stunning graffiti art that covers the concrete walls and pillars. The vibrant and colourful murals provide an ever-changing backdrop for the many visitors who come to the park each day. In addition to the graffiti, Underpass Park also has a skateboard area, making it a hotspot for skaters of all skill levels. Families with young children can enjoy the kid's playground area, which has plenty of slides, swings, and climbing equipment. The park also offers ample parking for visitors, making it easy to access. Moreover, the park's location is convenient, being located close to a coffee shop and the popular Distillery District, known for its artsy and industrial atmosphere. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll through the historic neighbourhood or grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants and cafes. Overall, Underpass Park is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Toronto. With its vibrant art, skateboard facilities, playground, parking, and proximity to other attractions, this urban oasis has something for everyone to enjoy.
If you're a lover of graffiti and murals, you should definitely check this place out. You can practice basketball and skateboard at this place. It has a small play area for children in the opposite end of the underpass park. You can enjoy the sunset and evening at this place. Usually farmers market are hosted on some days.
Many young people practice skateboarding here, and the murals are beautiful. We went here to play basketball. It was a bit cold and there were no people. As the weather warms up, it is estimated that there will be more people. I don't know if there is any place to play basketball, because there are not many basketball hoops.
2022 July 3.5 A nice park / playground underneath the Gardiner highway. It's nice as it revitalizes the area, provides shade and some rain coverage. The few playground structures include a climbing hexagon, rope climbing apparatus along related rope items. The wall murals / paintings are pretty nice and certainly livens up the atmosphere.
Nice area overall, filled with families, people skating in the park and playing basketball. Graffiti is cool and has events going on in the summer. The cleanliness is not very good though. There isn't too much trash, but the amount of dog and human poop forces you to always watch your step at every part.
I love coming here. in all seasons, there is some sort of activity happening. Skateboarding, group dancing, yoga, farmers market, kids playing. Great use of a community space and right near corktown commons!
Wow, can't say enough good things about this place. We need more spots like this as an outlet for our kids and teens. Saw some women leading some children through stretching and yoga moves all while trying to keep out of the rain. Bad weather can't stop all these people from getting fresh air and exercise. Just up the street the is also a very lively skate park filled with kids having fun. There is also a workout area and a jungle gym set up too. Big props to the city of Toronto for having this place, more provinces need to adopt this type of thinking. We do have skate/bike parks in Victoria B.C but this place is on another level with murals and the overpass above makes it very unique..
Neat treatments of murals on each concrete pylon supporting the roadway above. It turns an urban blight into welcoming public space with a skateboard park and a more traditional kids playground. With access to the Don River and surrounded by posh condos.
A great way to transform a derelict space underneath an overpass. The park offers a place for skateboarders, and basketball players. There's also a jungle gym here which looks like a modern piece of art. I also love the different types of art found here. It's worth a visit.
