Update: It has been approximately two weeks, and there has been no improvement or repair. Furthermore, two other gym equipment pieces are defective and unusable. Econofitness has not addressed customer concerns and seems solely focused on increasing monthly subscriptions. Nobody is satisfied with the service and customer care.nnI've noticed several defective devices at the gym, and it's disappointing that they haven't been attended to. It would greatly improve the gym experience if Éconofitness could prioritize repairing these devices instead of raising the monthly fees. I value being a customer, and I believe better maintenance would show respect for the clients.

Hi, have been a member since the opening in Dorval. But I have found that the gym is not as good as it once was. Before the pandemic, we had a manager who was always there, friendly, and made sure everything was in order. The staff was friendly, knew the members, and cleaned regularly. After the pandemic…the gym is not the same…the manager is never around, and not helpful at all. There is such a turnover of staff…some don’t do anything at all except sit at the front desk…in the meantime we have no paper to clean the equipment and the gym is dirty used to be so clean . And it takes long to repair equipment.

The only benefit to this spot is the proximity to my home. All other econo sites have additional machines to accommodate large volumes of people doing resistance training. Here there are roughly 40 cardio machines and only 5 of them in use at a time. They can sell 25 of the cardio machines and make room for more weights DB, EZ and Straight bar, squat and smith machines. I do not appreciate large line ups for a single machine even with rotating in the machine there is still a line up for it. I also do not appreciate people leaving weights on the floor or even on machines for other clients or staff to pick up. There should be a demerit system in place to pay more if they do this.

The staff is always friendly but the machines are constantly broken and take weeks for them to be fixed. As of writing this review, 5 machines are broken and 2/4 of the paper towel dispensers are broken.nnThere's also only 1 squat rack which isn't nearly enough. It would also be nice to have a deadlift platform. I spoke with the manager about this and she was extremely dismissive about it. Extremely useless.nnThe owner always responds to these with the same copy and pasted response. Clearly doesn't care about the gym and is simply there for the pay cheque.

Greetings, to whom this may concern. I have chosen to write to you today and voice my displeasure with the services at one of your locations Econofitness Dorval. I have been a member of your gym for 10 yrs and have been coming to this particular econofitness for 3 of those yrs. This is by far one of the worst gyms I have been to in any setting from a quality control standpoint. It wasn’t always like this… a few yrs back management was more present and interested with what patrons needed and wanted out of their experience. Greeting everyone upon arrival and exit. That is no longer the case because the employees that are supposed to be at the front. Are always in the gym tending to the washrooms and cleaning the gyms upon their arrival inside. Potential customers are left to wait several mins before anyone can be see or found. I have personally gone to look for the employees to let them know there is someone looking to inquire about the gym. Often times they are left frustrated and walkout. A multitude of machines in the gym are in dire need for repair and adjustment, which will take many weeks if not months before they are. However every month the membership fees must be paid on time or we’ll be denied access… I’m wondering if any of this is getting reported let alone tended too. The woman who “manages” the gym is hardly around and when she is, she’s cold and very standoff ish towards the gym goers. I myself have had a few run ins with her and she is not at all pleasant to deal with. Her attitude is not that of a manager at a community gym. Especially with the fact that she is hardly here to begin with. I hope this finds to someone who is curious enough to actually make some inquiries into the activities here and affects real and considerable change to the environment here at Econofitness Dorval.
