I finally got to experience Blues on Whyte - The old Commercial - I’ve had so many opportunities over the years - going back to the late 90’s - been back a few times since - it’s that much fun, great service, great prices and fantastic live music! Thanks everyone! Sam Myers Photography
Great live music in the evenings. TV for sports and 2 solid pool tables. It's not a fancy place, it's a bit of a dive, but a well maintained dive with good service and prices. If you want to see top notch live music check it out, if you want to play some midday games of pool, great spot. As long as you're good with a classic kind of vibe this place is great. If you're fancy you might clutch your pearls and retreat.
Love this place, it's an amazing live venue with great live bands. I love the set up.
Just dropped in when riding by. Outside deck and live music!! Reasonable beer, the staff knows their business . Good time.
I love this place. On the deck in the summer or at the Blue's on Whyte festival it's the best. Music is great, with non of the annoying younger crowd. There's even pool tables! Negatives: it's super hot inside and no AC making sweatly dancing on the floor and cash only bar
Always the best place for live music , dancing,good drinks service and prices. Just wondering if it is still lost cost no tell motel ? Always was handy when unable to drive home . I lived pretty far and it was cheeper to get a room ,being very convenient for getting my car driven home next day . Used to be something like $50 some for a room . That was half the price of 2cab rides .home and back to pick up my car . So do you still have rooms for rent ? Just wanted to have a room rate nothing on website. Not one price .just one night say what can I expect to pay ? Please I need to know soon cause I'll be in E- town very soon and this is my first choice
Pros: the patio vibe is amazing, there’s lots of seating, it’s clean, there’s shade & sun, the live singing was really good, there are multiple servers, the bus boy was great & kept our table clean, the drinks were tasty, there are water misters on the patio which were unreal for the hot weather! Cons: the waitress we had — prices were first listed to us when we were ordering, then when the waitress returned with the drinks, the prices were all of a sudden higher than what she had originally stated. The waitress also didn’t return any change & took everything as an automatic tip which caught us all off guard. I asked receive to change back, she did the math wrong when giving me my change & was gone before I could say something. When the waitress returned with another drink, one person at the table gave the exact change of $7 a highball was said to be $4.25, and then the charge became $7.00 when the drink arrived, the waitress then stated “oh seven dollars on the dot, could I have 0.25 cents more to cover the tip out?” It was honestly shocking to experience. We didn’t feel comfortable speaking up after being treated like this. We all like the location, so it’s unfortunate this experience happened.
Have come here many times, usually when there's live music playing. Because without the live music, many venues feel the same, ya know? Sometimes finding a place to sit is difficult when it's busy but on the whole, a great place to spend a night out.
Great washrooms. Only pizza on the menu and it's the worst anyone at the table had ever eaten... tasted as tho they subbed bbq sauce for the tomato sauce plus very few toppings I learned later that the pizza had a "reputation". Sound man had a bad mix going. But the Musical Talent in there makes it worth it. Just don't order the pizza ;
If you stay here there is lots of ants. Zero Hospitality in the hotel. Watch your drinks!!! Lots of panhandling. And no blues bands like before. It’s more rock music now.
