Union Hall

I love that this place is still open! I have been partying here since 2008- and despite renovations and time, it has kept the same vibes. I’ve been here for punk and metal shows, djs, and just a night out. There is so much parking in the area, and finding a safe ride home is easily accessible. They use a camera and scanner for your ID upon entry. They offer coat check for a small fee. Always a good time- the staff are fun and professional. They really care that you have a fun yet safe experience. They will avoid over-serving you, and ensure there isn’t trouble for you or the other patrons. They offer RSVP tickets for select events- which is great in this economy. The drink prices aren’t outrageous $7.25 for a can of Budweiser, but bottle service is the only way you’re getting a seat at this venue, so wear comfortable footwear. There are 2 bars, and several beer tubs. There is only one set of restrooms, with attendants on occasion. The restrooms are relatively clean, depending on the night. There is a smoke pit, not sure if you can leave the venue and come back- as I have never felt the need to. I love this place and the only reason it didn’t get alll the stars is the lack of seating. Also side note- there is a decent hotel on the other side of the building if needed.

If you want to be up close to your fave bands this is definitely the venue, good views from all angles, parking is always good never had an issue. Venue staff are very friendly. Would be star but the building is starting to show it's age and needs minor repairs, but what old venue in Edmonton doesn't.

Had a great time here earlier this year! They do need a better drink selection however.

Like most music venues the sound is not great. Service is fine and there's parking.

This place has a decent sounds system and is standing room mostly. No re-entry usually, sometimes they have a smoking area, most times not. Not too shabby and a music venue with a more personal touch as you can get quite close to the stage but there is usually a barricade. Staff seem nice and helpful
