Comfort Inn & Suites North Vancouver

This is a budget hotel convenient by car to Vancouver. Location is the top feature of this property ... just on the other side of the Lions Gate bridge and a short drive to the nice Park Royal Shopping Centre. There is a bus stop near this hotel though it seems most people coming here would use a car. Parking lot is tight but had enough spaces available. Room was quite spacious and had stove, microwave, full-size refrigerator and freezer -- my wife found these handy so we could have some home-cooked meals in the room. However the room carpet smelled old and dirty, maybe the smell of old cigarette smoke. The room is non-smoking but this hotel seems older and maybe the room hasn't been renovated since converting to non-smoking. Free breakfast is a nice touch but the quality is very 2-starish ... lots of starch and not much fruit or hot items. Staff was friendly but the cleaners did accidentally throw away a bag we had with some snacks and a water bottle. All-in-all, this is a decent property for a family on a budget.

The area was nice and close to alot of stuff. The only thing I didn't like was that this was a Comfort inn and suite and they didn't have any big suites. I needed a 2 bed with a fold out couch. When I called to check on different rooms to upgrade, the guy was very rude. He hung up in my face while I was asking questions. The worst breakfast I've ever had at a Comfort Inn. The eggs were dry, the boiled eggs tasted funny, the sausage patties could of been cooked 2-3 mins longer. The garbage can was spilling over people were putting their trash on the counter. It sat for 10min before the lady came and dumped everything. Being that this is a suite I would of thought the breakfast selection would have been different. I've had better at different comfort inn's. If and when I come back to Vancouver I will not be staying here again. This location gave Comfort inn a bad rep! I should of spent $200 more and stayed across the bridge.

Staff is super friendly, service is quick, rooms very clean and comfy. We got the small kitchenette and it's stocked with everything you need to cook up a quick meal. Breakfast was good too. I'd definitely stay again!

I didn't like the first room, but they changed it. So service good. Good for the money
