Cobourg East Campground

It is a great place. There are always activities for the children and sometimes for the adults as well. 😊 Nice big playground. Clean swimming pool. Friendly owners and campers. Lots of room for the children ride their bikes. We love it.

Easy hwy access. Treed campground. Reasonably priced. On a 28 degree day the pool was closed and emptied of water. Trains run throughout the night whistles blowing at the back of the property, good luck with your sleep. Showers were not clean and whole washroom facilities need new paint. Washing machines and dryers were good. It was clear to us some sites had been muddy when it rained.

Went home for a weekend and when I returned my extension cord with 20 amp adapter outdoor rug and fire wood was all missing from my site. I asked the lady at the desk if they had cleaned up my site while I was gone (because the whole camp ground was empty) she claimed that they had no idea where it went... having watched the owner clear up other sites I find that hard to believe. First day in I knew they would be very strict on speed limits (10km/h) so I set my cruise control to 8 km/h. Sure enough the owner jumped off his lawn mower and screamed at me to slow down! I told him my speed but he wouldn't listen. He will yell at you at least once during your stay no matter how slow you are driving. Had a friend stop by for a visit again I warned my friend about the speed limit. So he was travelling 10km/h the owner jumped on his 3 wheeler and burned it down the road after him doing at least 50km/h to catch up tell him to slow down. The owner was literally shaking with anger because he had not checked in at the front desk. I was wondering why the whole camp ground was empty on a long weekend while every other place is booked solid. The reason is the owner. He will throw (what little weight he has) around and make your entire camping experience horrible. This is my first ever review but I felt the need to warn everyone Avoid at all costs!!!!!

We loved our stay! Owners Ken & Linda are super nice people. The sites are large, washrooms clean. Very nice quiet campground. Looking forward to going back
