Golden Beach Resort

A group of us went for dinner to the boathouse... the food was fantastic, there was a great deal on a refillable beer special and to top it off there was great live music - Darren Fraser (the musician) was fantastic. Our waiter -AJ - was energetic and a pleasure.

I had a trailer there for a few years. At first it was great, the owners were friendly and helpful. Once they received our money it all changed. They are rude, arrogant and just liars. I watch my kids very closely, but it seemed that our children were always blamed for something that was broken in their poorly maintained facilities. My kids were under 7 years of age and they were blamed for vandalizing the disgusting public bathroom. My children were constantly accused of things they did not do. This made our vacation time very stressful. The trailers are overpriced. Do your homework before purchasing a trailer. The lot fees are ridiculous. There are nicer places in the Rice Lake area that are maintained, not like this pit they call a "resort".

Very Busy in the Summer, but Winter is great for us locals! Boathouse Cafe has great Wings and the Fish was really good. Fresh Cut Fries here!

This was my first time at the resort or this type of resort. We were there for a wedding. Our room was fairly clean but was not quite ready when we arrived. Bed linens were clean. Since we were part of a wedding we were to have received towels and a coffee basket which we had to ask for. Others in our group did not ask so did not get. Their bed linens had not been changed and their room was full of spiders. The wedding hall was a good size. All the food was very good. We had lunch at the restaurant and the food there was also very good. It was a long weekend and the resort was very busy.
