NOT a Comfort Inn. While I booked this place under the name Comfort Inn, when I arrived at the address, it is now called Port Hope Inn.nnAfter the experience we had here, I can see why Comfort Inn removed this hotel from their catalogue, because it certainly does not meet any standards. The room was just okay with carpet showing lots of stains, and everything else dated. The breakfast was terrible. And the person that greeted us when we arrived at night was unnecessarily rude and confrontational, setting a poor tone for the start to our stay. We won't be back.
WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER!nWe booked a block of rooms at this hotel for our team, everyone complained about the dead bugs in the windows sills, the stains on the carpets, some rooms had sinks that didn't drain, broken furniture, tvs were so fuzzy that you couldn't tell what you were watching, mold and air quality was terrible, everyone coughing and stuffed up after first night. Rooms and hallways had missing paint and wall paper, patches everywhere. one afternoon we had the babies on our team playing together in the hall1pm, the lady from the front desk tells us that we cannot be in the hallway with the kids as it was a disruption to the guesteveryone we seen, loved the kidsnThe final straw was when one girl from our team went down to her room to put her daughter to bed at 830pm and her card wouldn't open the door, so went down to get a new card, same lady that told us not to be in the halls, wouldn't give her a card cause the room was in her husband's name.. she was left to fend for herself, with her tired and cranky 9month old, who's food and everything was in the room... her husband was at an arena playing and wouldn't be back for a couple hours.. other people from our group had gone and got new cards no questions asked as they didn't work more then they did.. I don't know if this lady was just on a power trip, but she was the worst front desk worker/customer service representative I've ever dealt with and should never be able to interact with people! I would never recommend this dump to anyone, especially if you have kids! This place should be shut down and inspected by health and safety.. my guess is the doors would be closed! Book your rooms elsewhere!
This is by far the most disgusting and disappointing hotel I ever stayed in. If I didn't have my family with me, I would have slept in the vehicle.nFirst off, I changed my reservation online 2 weeks prior and they still tried to charge me for canceling the extra night. I had to go down to the desk 4x just to speak to a manager.nThe hotel had a terrible smell upon entering and there was a glitch in the elevator as we stood at the desk. I told them I wanted a refund for the 2nd night that I was forced to book and they said no.nThe hallways had many patched holes and peeling wall paper everywhere you looked with dirty warped ceiling tiles. You could tell the carpets were just filthy. In the room the furniture was damaged, dead and alive bugs in the windows and what we suspected was blood on the curtain. First thing we did was check for bed bugs, we didn't find any, however the mattress was stained disgusting shades of yellow. We felt so uncomfortable to even use the sink to brush our teeth and all opted to not shower. We won't be back and we do not recommend. We left after the first night regardless of them not refunding the second night with just shy of a $400 bill.nnThis dirty hotel should be demolished.nThey should re name this the dumpster inn.
HORRID!!!!!!!! Should be named the UN comfort inn! Where do we start.... walking in the room, the first thing my wife said was it smells like urine. We found dirty diapers in the top dresser drawer. The decor was from the 80s, and it must have been the original mattress. Wire around the rim digs into you. Moving the mattress, we saw mice feces near the head board. Does anyone actually clean the room or just make the out dated bed and leave. They certainly didn't check the drawers for any items left behind..... like dirty diapers! Key card doesn't work on end doors. Noise from trucks all night as exit road from gas station runs right beside parking lot behind building. People yelling in the hallway at 11pm, tiny crappy tv with fuzzy channels, coffee maker at breakfast was broken, the list is endless. We canceled staying for the second night and moved to a better hotel.
Our family had to stop at this hotel last second yesterday at 630am due to an unexpected storm travelling afar. The hotel was so accommodating from the start to finish and we enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful when in need. It was a bonus to be pet friendly and I would highly reccomend this hotel if you're in need of a place to stay. Accessible accommodations near by too.
