Clancy's Tea Cosy

Came here for a lunch outing with my young daughter and we both loved this place. She kept saying how relaxing it was and how cozy she felt. We especially loved the scones, which were fresh out of the oven. And we devoured all of the savoury sandwiches. Loved the pear and Brie one! Didn’t have room left for the sweets, but we wrapped those up to go and finished them at home. Will be back for sure!

A cute little shop for high tea. The finger foods were delicious. I especially enjoyed the scones and the brie and pear sandwiches. The tea was delicious, I had the Scottish Toffee, and the service was great - they were nice enough to let us move from a middle room table to the window booth once it emptied out. I would definitely recommend coming down for a spot of tea.

I have dined here multiple times since 2016 and lately a few times with the current owner. It's a real treat to dine here for high tea. Food has been consistently well made and presented and service has been outstanding. Salads have always been super fresh. The desserts are rotating and always a little different than the previous time. I can never seem to leave without purchasing a couple bags of their loose tea which I can't find anywhere else locally. Parking has been easy to find outside on the street. Love Clancy's Tea Cozy!!!

Best high tea I’ve ever had. They even had a gluten sensitive option and I got to eat ALL the same items as the rest of my family but made with gluten free flour and the sandwiches were on gluten free bread. I was beyond happy!! I am always left out when we go out to eat or if there is a gluten free option it tastes gross, but you would never know any of their high tea goodies were gluten free they tasted 100% normal, I haven’t experienced anything this tastey since going gluten free and it was so amazing they were able to cater to my needs and provide such excellent service! And they can make the entire high tea menu gluten sensitive without having to miss out.

Clancy's is in a great location not far from the waterfront in White Rock. I went for high tea, which included an extensive list of delicious teas to choose from and a tower of outstanding, fresh food. I really enjoyed everything that was served, especially some of the flavor combos with cheeses, jams, figs, etc. Portion sizes were generous too! The staff was friendly, and the owner was really pleasant and interesting to talk to. I can't wait to go back! Reserving a table in advance is probably a good idea based on demand. Definitely worth it!

Descent pricing and fresh made in house food. We had a nice time when I booked my grandmas 84th birthday just the two of us. I loved the maple tea. Very quiet atmosphere, easy to access off the Main Street in white rock. Will gladly go back. Server was kind.

There is nothing like basking in sunshine and fresh ocean air. This cozy little nook has been part of the community for many years and I can see why. I brought my mother here for afternoon tea and it was an experience we will never forget. The owner is warm and welcoming; the food is presented in a stylish, elegant fashion and tastes absolutely delicious. Every bit was perfect. Do yourself a favor. Go and visit. You will be well taken care of. Everything about this place is quality!

My husband and I enjoyed our high tea. It was affordable and lots of choices of teas, the food was amazing! Friendly staff and really nice ambiance. We love it and will go back again and definitely invite friends .

We recently spent a delightful Sunday afternoon savouring a splendid High Tea at Clancy’s Tea Cosy! The tea house has a charming ambiance and is beautifully decorated with fine furniture, antiques, and exquisite porcelain chinaware. Guests are offered a wonderful array of fragrant teas and an abundance of delectable, fresh, homemade sandwiches, scones and sweets. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the service is impeccable. An added bonus is the gift shop where you can browse to your heart’s content among specialty teas, fashionable aprons, fancy chinaware, and handmade crafts. We highly recommend a visit to Clancy’s Tea Cosy!

Afternoon service was very prompt and served soon after we received our tea. I had ordered the Assam tea and it did not taste like the strong Assam tea that I'm used to. I almost asked about it, but didn't want to make a fuss, but disappointingly it just tasted like an ordinary orange pekoe. My friend's lavender tea, on the other hand, was enjoyable. The sandwiches were lovely, especially the apple and fig spread in cinnamon bread was notable. The scones were good, however, it was not served with the traditional Devonshire cream, but more of a cream cheese spread. The desserts were lovely and included macaron. The floor was hard cement, so made for a rather cold ambiance. Free street parking is available right in front. It was rather hard to find as there was no large signage. The price for afternoon tea was reasonable.
