I like their Americanos. It’s hard to find one that’s not sour. Good service. Cozy setting. The plastic wrapped pastries are a bit of a turn off when you walk into a coffee shop. They definitely look less appealing when placed like that and go against the current plastic reduction mandates.
Such a nice view from the patio outside! You can almost see the ocean. The drinks are splendidly tasty. I didn’t order food but my drinks are always great. Nice and friendly staff too.
This cafe is so cute! The coffee was quite strong but was surprised they can make a flat white! It’s not in the menu They don’t offer barista special almond milk unfortunately, they just have just the usual Silk almond milk... the customer service was really good. Lots of working space and free wifi!
Love this spot. Great little coffee shop to stop in and go for a walk downtown. Coffee is really nice and a great selection of food and specials as well. The staff are extremely kind and friendly. They have almond milk and honey behind the counter, so you need to ask for it.
Super cute, cozy, coffee shop. I had the tea and a slice of lemon loaf Your hot beverage is served in real coffee/tea cups and a little teapot. Loved it Food: 5/5
Although our experience was not bad, it was also nothing special. The coffee was just okay, but the lack of dairy alternatives was a bit disappointing. I think the coffee shop would benefit from investing in good, dairy free creamers rather than just soy milk and almond milk, which many people cannot consume, and also does little when added to the coffee. The london fog was alright as well, but again, you can get them anywhere, and probably for cheaper. I did enjoy the scones though, they were perfect and very filling, not dry at all. Overall, I don’t think I’ll be returning, but the vibe and the seating is lovely, perfect for sun bathing and catching up with friends.
Came here to get a coffee before taking a beach walk. Really looked forward to enjoying a delicious coffee. Got inside at opening and there was a young girl wearing what appeared to be lingerie. Got my latte and it had such a strange taste. I've had a vanilla latte at other places and I know they use an imitation flavouring but here it had a strange after taste. On top of that, the coffee had a burned flavour. It wasn't my favourite and I won't be back again. My overall experience from payment to consumption was strange.
The absolute best dark coffee anywhere however... In White Rock the baked goods are simply OK hence the 4 stars. They used to be fantastic. We would go more often if it was open earlier. Every location is different with their baked goods every location in except White Rock's are fantastic however the coffee is always superb no matter where you go.
Very disappointing... we ordered 2 extra hot lattes and a lemon loaf. We were told the 16oz coffee had 3 shots - we were a little worried that it might be too strong but we said okay ... We had to return one because it wasn't hot - they redid it. the 2nd one wasn't hot either but i accepted it. There was practically no foam on the latte and the coffee was weak and tasteless, the lemon loaf was dry.... Since we only have ONE coffee and day and were hoping for a special break on Sunday morning we decided not to "make do" with this and to try another coffee shop. When we returned the pastry & drinks to the cashier, telling her why we weren't going to drink or eat them - she simply said thank you! No offer of a refund or a sorry or can we make you another. We definitely won't be going back to this BEAN nor recommending it.
Terrible service. Me and my friend went in and the owner tried charging us for 4 coffees and we noticed he got mad and yelled at us saying to leave!
