Very nice selection of fine cakes, tarts and croissants. I specifically appreciate that their products are not overly sweet. Probaly the best place in White Rock South Surrey to get a fine cake. Coffee is mostly good, but it needs more temperature consistency. They keep me coming back :
We arrived within an hour of closing, selections were limited. We had cinnamon puff that pulled apart and a hazel nut croissant. It was good. There were a selection of hot and cold drinks and chocolates you can purchase by the box. We brought ours to Canada’s Longest pier and enjoyed it there. Love the modern decor outside the bathroom.
Absolutely delicious and worth every penny for the beauty and flavour of the dessert. I had the raspberry chocolate impossible cake. My family had a couple different ones and from what I tasted they were equally yummy. Highly recommend this café for a special treat.
Fancy bakery/cafe with yummy desserts! While the price for an individual small cake is a bit higher at $7 per piece, it delivers quality. I like to mix and match the small cakes to try the assortment there! The Mont Blanc and lemon tart are my tops The hazelnut croissant and croissant cubes are also delicious. The sitting area can get crowded and big cakes sell out fast! You can pre-order online super convenient.
Have been there several times. Love all those cute dessert there! The croissant cube is a must try. Coffee is bit strong though, made me awake till midnight.
Must try their double baked croissants and the Sunny's Matcha cake. That cake is very yummy and unique imo since they use a sesame base instead of a standard base. It fit very well with the yuzu and matcha flavours. Though I recommend order online and pick up since the paste few times I've gone they've been quite busy.
First and foremost, Chez Christophe is a place for sweet and savoury treats and chocolates. The good: the food, obvi. So amazing. The desserts are the type that make you want to close your eyes and take in the moment. The baked goods are flaky and buttery. Lots of variety of their luxury-level chocolates. The space is open and bright with a modern feel. And it’s clean and well-kept which is a must. The ok: I was looking for a dark chocolate mocha. They only offer milk chocolate. Parking nearby is limited. Your best bet for an extended stay would be the parking lot at the back of the building next door. Otherwise, there’s street parking for one hour directly outside. Also, it’s closed on Sundays and Mondays. Lastly, know that there is no wifi. Don’t expect to come here to work with a laptop. This is a place meant for visiting or taking a break. Which is what I’ll do when I return. Visiting with friends or reading for a bit - whilst enjoying a coffee and a delectable treat.
We had a nice lunch with two delicious sandwiches, Americano Misto and an iced green tea latte. They have gourmet chocolates and desserts and a very clean and comfortable atmosphere.
The double baked are all deliciously crunchy, dense and buttery. The buche is beautiful, hope it's as good . My issue with this place is lukewarm drinks and the cleaning while still open.
I always look for the best croissants in the city and this is one of them... it melted in my mouth.... and the double baked almond croissant was too die for... may have to visit my father-in-law more often since he is just around the corner. I didn't get to try the cubed filled croissant but I will trust me I will be back. The almond croissant was just under 6.00 and the pain butter croissant is 3.75 I think... both not bad for the quality and how big they are. Individual desserts were just under 7.00 if I remember. And they have chocolates! It's like $2.95 each.
